Day 13 – All the B’s – Blizzard Beach and the Boardwalk.
Thursday 18th July 2002.

Cast:
Me- Morven (aka Undylad)
Suzanne – DW
Kerri – DD (7)
Liam – DS (5) - the chicken strip eater.

Well, the troops were shattered now. I was up, dressed and on my second mug of coffee before they showed any signs of stirring. It was promising to be a hot, hot day today. So after breakfast, we chased the kids into the car and headed for Blizzard Beach for about 10:30am.

When we got in the main gate, Kerri could not decide which way to go, she just stood there stunned. I think this is the first time she has been to a proper water park. We found a couple of loungers at Tikes Peak to set up base camp and then we headed for the Cross Country Creek. Everyone had a great time even though Liam fell off his ring about two dozen times and must have drank most of the water in the park. We had seen other children with pool shoes at the AP Movies so we headed and got our pair some pairs J. We toured around the rest of the park but we just found it too busy today.

We headed back to the AS Movies as we had an appointment with our DVC Guide Byron at the Boardwalk to do the Beach Club Villa tour. We got the blue bus from the hotel bang on 3:40 pm. We dropped the children at the play centre and waited for Byron. We have talked to Byron for about six months off and on and always found him laid back and professional. Suzanne and myself had both got a mental picture of him and it was left rather shattered. Bryon was a lot older than we had both imagined but it did all make sense when you considered how good he is at his job, he has that polish that only comes through experience. We enjoyed the tour and our chat with Byron and we signed up for some more points to add-on to our OKW points whenever that deal cleared. We collected the children and headed for a stroll along the Boardwalk.

We has make a PS at Spoodles for 6:00 pm and walked in and were seated straight away. We all had a great meal but I forgot to make a note of what we all had except I know that Liam had some chicken strips for a change. We did think that is was rather expensive and not as good value as the rest of the meals we had during the holiday, but the service and surroundings were great. I just loved the open kitchen and all the lovely smells wafting around…yum. We decided to walk off some of our meal and walked round to Epcot and we walked straight into the Tapestry of Dreams parade. The kids (all four of us) really enjoyed it.

We decided not to wait for Illuminations tonight and headed back to AS Movies as it was to be another early start tomorrow.

Tommorrow - It’s Liam’s birthday or Animal Kingdom Rocks!

We weren't too struck on Spoodles either. As you said great location though....
