MGM

We had breakfast in the food-court today. The usual bagel for me & muffins for the rest of ‘em.

We got to MGM at 9.30 and it was straight to Tower of Terror. Gianni didn’t want to do it so we did the kid swap – Gabs went on with me and then with Enz. I love this ride :Pinkbounc

From here it was only logical and sensible for Gabs and me to make our way to Rock n Rollercoaster :teeth: This ride is SO much better than Space Mountain and it only took 15 minutes to queue for!

We walked straight into Who Want to be a Millionaire. Gianni was 4th on the fastest finger question! – putting 4 songs from Pinocchio in order! The person who came first didn’t want to be in the hot seat so he gave his go to #2. I noticed that quite a few people just sat back and didn’t take part.

I went on Start Tours with the children – Enz hates this ride. I have to say that Gabs and I weren’t too enthralled with it. Gianni likes it – I think it has something to do with the fact that Gianni’s head is protected by the back of the seat.

We made a PS for 50’s Prime Time for 2pm then went over to watch Muppet Vision 3D and into the Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Playground.

It was so hot today We were wilting even in the shade.

Time for lunch! We’ve never been to 50’s PT but I’d read about it and it sounded like fun – it was! We were the cousins from England and Mom made Mac n Cheese for Gabs, hot dog for Gianni, Chicken Hot Pot for Enz and the Pot Roast for me. It was all very tasty but I did think mine was a tad salty. The kids and I just had to have the cherry lemonade with the glowing ice cubes :teeth:

We got Enz to leave a piece of broccoli on his plate so the server did the aeroplane thing and made Enz eat it – much to the delight of the kids who were crying with laughter. Gianni was told off for wearing his hat at the table and I was told off for having my elbows on the table.

We all had dessert here. Enz – snickers cheesecake – sickly but he somehow managed to polish it off. The kids made ice-cream sundaes and I had s’mores. I chose this because I’d never heard of it before and was curious – wow this was big!! It’s a big Graham cracker topped with chocolate, 15 marshmallows, grilled then drizzled with more chocolate! Needless to say this was sickly too but somehow Enz managed to finish of the half that I’d left! Not bad for a bloke who doesn’t usually do desserts!

By the time we’d finished stuffing our faces it was 3pm and the boys were ready to go back to the resort. Gabs & I weren’t so we stayed :earsgirl:

We had a very productive time! We walked straight in to watch Indiana Jones – still a good show but loses some of its sparkle when you‘ve already seen it and know the twists.

We went from here to get a front view position sitting on the road for the 4pm Disney Stars and Motor Cars Parade.

Next it was time to get settled for the 5pm showing of Beauty and the Beast which we’d never seen.

Note 1: If the times info says the show starts at 5pm and you sit down at 4.30, why moan for the whole ½ hour that you’re ready for it to start?! As the woman next to me did. Rant over.

On with the show – absolutely fantastic! I’m, so glad I got to see it this time round. I admit to getting rather choked up and tearful at the end!

We got in line for R n R Coaster but got fed up waiting – we were spoilt by all the walk-ons we’d had up to now! So we toddled off to get Fast Passes for Tower of Terror then got in line because the wait time was showing 13 minutes (not 10 or 15 – 13!). We didn’t need the FP’s in the end – we just walked straight back on :Pinkbounc

There was a funny moment on our first go – a little boy sitting at the front (must have only just made the height) burst into loud, hickuppy tears and asks the bellhop ‘What are you gonna do with us?’ Well the bellhop didn’t know what to say, all the ‘hotel guests’ laughed and EVENTUALLY the dad took his son off. I’m not too sure why he waited so long though!

We met up with the boys at 6.30 and the kids had fries before we decided to go into Fantasmic.

It was packed! I’d noticed people waiting outside when we exited Beauty and the Beast at 5.30! All we could get was standing room at the back at the far side. The kids weren’t thrilled with having to stand and neither were we when the CM said we wouldn’t see much! So we decided to go and maybe try to come back another evening but……….

As we exited I noticed a CM directing people another way so we followed them. We got seats rights at the right hand side and we managed to see the whole performance.

Note 2: Why do people leave really big gaps on the benches and not move up when people are trying to find seats? I understand if you’re saving them for someone but there seemed to be an awful lot of empty seats throughout the performance.

We caught the bus back to the resort. Gianni & I got straight onto the bus to Downtown Disney (he’d been dying to do this) and Enz & Gabs took the car.

The kids played in the Lego shop (why don’t they play with their Lego at home? Another mystery!) then it was off to the Earl of Sandwich for more food :rolleyes1

Gianni – turkey s’wich, Gabs – grilled cheese s’wich, Enz – the Earl’s Club & me – Caribbean jerk Chicken. Really really good :teeth:

The sprinklers went on again tonight around 12ish – aaaargh!!!!

Tomorrow – chilling out day.

Another good day in the magical world of Disney - must do Fantasmic this trip too.

we got soaked at fantasmic last year....sitting too close to the front

Enjoyed reading your report ~ Thanx for posting.

When we woke at 4.00 on our first day in CSR I took DS(11) for a quick look-see outside and wondered why everything looked wet - I found out 10 seconds later when the sprinklers activated over the pair of us! :rotfl2:

Lovely report again.

I know what you mean about people sitting in the middle and not moving up. This happened to us in Shrek 4D, it causes absolute chaos with quite a few families becoming separated. It took ages for people to find seats all because of these people.
