Cast of characters:

DH: 35 Anthony (Wife turned him in to a Dis Fan)
Meggin: A.K.A (Meg) Best friend since High School
Jeremy: A.K.A (Jer) Megs Husband

Where to start, but at the beginning. Planning for this trip started
way back in March 2005 so when October finally rolled around,
we were excited, prepared and ready to go!
Me & DH decided to add a few extra alone days to our trip
and headed to Amelia Island from Oct. 27th-Oct. 29th
before meeting the Sabs (A.K.A Meg, Jer & Vincent) in WDW.
Oct. 29th:
We woke up bright and early and at breakfast while
watching the tranquil sunrise on Amelia Island.
We enjoyed our stay at the Ritz Carlton Amelia Island,
but couldnt wait to get to Walt Disney World.
I-95 was not crowded as we drove south to WDW and
stopped off at the PGA Store in St. Augustine.
DH enjoyed the golf store a little too much!! He wanted
to buy this car for our backyardneedless to say
the car stayed and all we have is this lovely picture.
Driving onto the WDW property is a wonderful
experience because you are sitting front and center
to the action as it startssigns on the highway,
arriving on Disney property and finding your hotel.
The Caribbean Beach was our destination one night
before we checked in to the BWV and met the Sabs.
We pulled into the Custom house around 2:30pm
and the check-out line was longer than the check-in line.
The bright colors of the lobby and the tropical music add
to the excitement of being at Disney.
Wonderful Cast Member Amanda checked us
in and gave us a lovely king bed room in Aruba.
(Room 5428 King Bed)
Once settled in our room, we headed out to explore
the resort and grab some lunch at the food court.
Old Port Royale was not crowded and we enjoyed
the peacefulness of the afternoon and even
took some time to explore the gift shop!
One of my favorite parts of a Disney Vacation is the
first Disney transport Bus ride of the trip. The anticipation
of waiting for the bus at the Caribbean Beach bus stop
was overwhelming. We picked up the Bus to Downtown
Disney and found it to be quite crowded. WE didnt care,
because that bus was taking us to fun times!! Once at DD,
we decided to give Disney Quest a try. It was a fun night
and there is a lot to do, especially if
you are adventuresome.
Once we had exhausted our video game quota, we headed
over to dinner at the Swan and ate at Kimonos. Being from
NY area, we tend to be a bit picky about eating out, as
often the food doesnt measure up. Well Kimonos
serves some of the best sushi Ive ever eaten anywhere!
We order our staple, noodle soup with pork, spicy tuna roll,
Philadelphia roll and tuna sashimi, along with Japanese beer.
Once the karaoke starts, we head for the door,
as this is not our idea of a vacation.
We took our time heading back to the Caribbean Beach,
knowing that tomorrow was going to be a busy day and
we wanted to enjoy the scenery. We bused back to DD
and then the Caribbean Beach. This was daylight savings
time, so we were fortunate to set the clocks back
an hour and get more time at Disney.
We headed to bed at 11pm with thoughts of the
Boardwalk and the next 8 days in WDW
with our very good friends!
