Davy's in Wonderland! The TR of a little boy's dream!

We have been very busy here lately. It's coming up on the end of the school year. Last day is the 25th I believe!! Then Aleks flies away to her moms on June 2 (whatever the first saturday in June is....). She won;'t be back until Aug. Davy will be lost without her!

Me and Davy have been doing his gymnastics class, followed by a nature walk and playground time on Fridays. He LOVES it! He can do flips all by himself now! I have to sign him up for the summer session. He has to be around kids at least some this summer and with his sister gone, class and church will be it. Poor little guy.

I dunno how many Big Gives I will do over the summer..... hmm that could be a good time filler. Along with baby kisses!!! Davy just came over to give me kisses- I had to tell you all! He gives great kisses. Slobbery and love filled!

Bad news on the Disney front for us..... We may be canceling our upcoming trip. *sniff* We have to get a whole new A/C system installed and with that new bill, we may bot have the money to go now. The system is $7000!!!! I hate being an adult and even more so- living in GA where you can't live in the summer without A/C..... I am ready to cry. I was so looking forward to this trip with my DS.... I had all of our ADRs and plans ready. Now I won't get to see him running to the castle or getting his hair cut again at the harmony barbershop or hugging Mickey and Pooh..... *sob*

I know things could be so much worse, but I really wanted this trip. I needed the stress relief and family time. It was also going to be a family reunion of sorts- meeting some family on my DH's side that I had never even met and he hadn't seen in years. We were gonna all eat at Chef Mickey's together.

DH said maybe we can still go.... but I don't see it happening. It was only a 4 day/3 night trip. Have free dining and all.... but the $600 plus gas to get there may be needed for bills now.... *sniff*

Ok... I am done.... I'm a big girl and I can take it.... no i can't. I wanna go to Disney...............

Oh no hun I am so sorry I hope you can somehow still swing it to go. I understand completely about the cost of air conditioning and furnace. We just got ours a week and a half agoish and the bill OMG!! These things are so expensive. We had to get a humidifier and air filter on it for Ty too. I totally understand what you are saying. I really hope you can still go. Many hugs to you!

Not sure yet. Thinking the first week or so of December. I have read that it is slightly less busy that week and for sure the weather is better than July! I hate giving up my first trip, esp since I was sooo into it and planning and had my ADRs and everything- but at least this way Aleks can join us too- but she can't find out!!!

You going in Dec too? I hope to meet some Disers! Any recommendations out there on when to go in Dec? I don't really want to do the MVMCP. Too much money for cookies, hot choc and a parade.... maybe we will watch the fireworks from the Poly beach!

Yup, my September trip is now a December trip too! We are going December 4 to December 11 and staying at POP! There will be 7 adults, a 4 year old, and a 11 month old! I can't wait!!

And man you're quick! I hadn't even posted the info on my own TR/PTR yet!!

But yes! The new story folks is a Christmas surprise trip for the kids!!! Hubby gets his bonus around Oct, so I know we will have the funds then. And I can go ahead and book our room ASAP- gotta figure out dates first.

Only problem with wanting to go in the beginning of Dec is that DH would have to use vacation days, but he already has off Dec 17 through New Years due to the whole Wrigley's plant being shut down. That means we need to save as much of his vacation time as possible for that. They only get holiday pay for like 3 days of the nearly 2 and a half weeks they have to take off! Its going to be hard to plan, unless we don't mind it being busy.
Also, DD has to go to her mother's house for Christmas day this year and needs to be there for 1 week as per court orders..... (bleh. Her mother doesn't even deserve to have the child at all, but that's a whole 'nother story..... ) Which means, looking at my schedule from this year and guessing- they will get out Dec 20, so we will ship her out that day and get her back the 26th. Unless we can convince them to get her the day before Christmas and just fly her out of MCO to MI directly, while we drive home to GA.

That would mean we travel the 20-24 or something like that..... And that works around both needs..... hmmm... but then we couldn't do Christmas at our house until she got back, or at least not some of it (because as you know, Santa visits our house twice when she isn't there for the actual Christmas day! He comes again when she gets home and drops off her presents, as well as any other cool things her forgot for the rest of us on his first trip through! ) Unless of course..... she finally, as I think she is on the verge of realizing..... discovers the horrible truth.... that Santa lives in our hearts.

Hmmm.... wonder if her mother would agree to those travel dates..... or rather, I wonder if her grandparents would.. as they lead her mother around and actually keeps Aleks more than she does. Sad huh?

Anyway- it was great to get all this out of my head and actually in a physical form. Now I can read my plans over again and show DH and see how he feels about the trip dates. Wonder if this will work? I hope!!

That's when I want to go!!! But I don't know if Dh's schedule at work will allow it. Read previous post for my extremely long winded explanation of why if you want your brain to go in circles!

I asked him about similar dates as yours and he just kinda gave me that look... you know the look of, "Are you crazy?" I doubt we will be able to pull it off, but if he has enough vacation time left at the end of the year, then that's when I wanna go!!

That was cool huh? I hope they do bring it out to Disney World. Davy would flip!! A Mickey that talks just seems so less scary to me for a kid. I mean, Mickey waving is cool, but Mickey talking to you is your friend!! You know?

That was really cool too! I hope they get it running soon. I would love to take Davy when he is 3 and can actually talk himself! Since he is only 1 right now, there is no real rush- but that would be sooooo cool to talk to Mickey!

I am even more of a slacker! HA! I have no dates picked, no ADRs and no real plan of action... sigh. I will start soon I think. I need to figure out my dates and when the last day is to use the Give a day.get a day tickets are in Dec. If I can't use them, I will donate them. The only ADR I want wither way is for Chef Mickeys... any day we are there will be fine and we are not staying on property- I hate that... but it's just too expensive at Christmas. I can't wait to surprise DD though!

Well, you gotta do what you gotta do, if that means staying off site well stay off site! lol, at least you'll be at Disney with the people that means most to you. I wouldn't worry to much you still got plenty of time ahead you to get your plan in action.

I sooo need to figure out when we are going..... hmm... maybe I will work on that as soon as we get back from NC. I just went to SC this past weekend. Lots of driving going on here! And my 18 year old nephew may be coming back with us to visit the "big city". lol. Poor kid.... 18 and never even seen an IMAX movie or played glow in the dark putt putt!
