Dave Ramsey Advice?

Assuming you use an agent, there are commissions to consider... also, if your purchase another house soon, the costs of originating the loan should be considered.

And there is also the possibility that interest rates won't be this low for much longer, therefore, in a couple of years, you'll end up with a higher rate.

Not an expert, and I might be missing something but I've never seen these costs discussed or even mentioned before....

This is true, I have to say I'm relieved to see that everyone isn't saying to move. I could list a million reasons not to move, I just don't want my stubborness to interfere with whats best for our family. The last house we looked at, which was much less and much smaller, totally freaked out the Dks. They were so upset, they love thier home and neighbors, I think I won't even mention the "M" word around them again unless it's for sure. Thanks for the support!

TNKBell, I too listen to Dave Ramsey and he had advised many to stay put in the homes they love. (He has also referred to the many extra costs of moving.)

You sound fiscally responsible, so I also vote for you to stay put!

As another long time listener to Dave Ramsey (5 yrs of carpooling during his show), if you *love* your home and progressing forward, Dave would not recommend you sell. Now, if you were on the verge of bankrupcy and heading further down that path, he would suggest a different house might be better.

I vote for Stay Put and just keep plugging away. You are doing fine!
