My daugther presented me with plans for Disney in June. We are going for 8 days and this is what she has planned. What needs changed? Food wise, she was looking out for her brother who is 9 and has to eat on the kids menu, but will starve on peanut butter sandwiches and applesauce.

Tuesday - day of arrival eat at Whispering Canyon and Planet Hollywood. Go to Downtown Disney

Wednesday to Animal Kingdom and eat at Donald's Safari Breakfast, Tusker House and Flying Fish Cafe

Thursday Epcot and eat at Chef Mickey's Buffet, Cantina de San Angel, and Narcoosses's.

Friday Go to Blizzard Beach and Epcot eat at Boma, Warming Hut and Shutters

Saturday - Typhoon and Magic Kingdom and eat at Maya Grill, Siesta's Pool Bar/Grill and Yacht Club

Sunday - Epcot, eat at Olivia's Cafe, Coral Reef and Nine Dragon

Monday - Hollywood Studios and eat at Hollywood Vine, Sci-Fi and Ohana

Tuesday - day we leave, nothing planned just to see what else we want to do, but she wants to eat at the Magic Kindom buffet.

Does she have it planned correctly? What would you change? She wants to see and do everything, so we will be there from opening to close (she is 16) and wants to eat everywhere because we don't go out to eat a lot and she likes to try new things.

Thanks!

You're likely not going to see everything if you are going to three table service meals on most days - that will mean a lot of time in the restaurants. Unless you have a car, you're also going to spend a lot of time getting to the restaurants. You might have to strike a balance between "see everything" and "eat everywhere."

Thanks for the response. I know that is a lot she has listed and I was hoping to strike a balance and someone could tell me the not to miss places she listed and those that are a total miss and don't go ... What quick service meals are good and not just hamburgers?

Agree with Nala. One sit down - maybe two once in a while - is about all I'd make time for. And plan that sit down in or near the park you will be at. You can't do everything at WDW in a mere eight days, and its best to decide on what your priorities are going to be.

(Even if you hit the ground running and don't take time for meals, you may find yourself missing some low priority attractions. We've been about a gazillion times, and have yet to make time for the Nemo show at AK - which I hear is very good - in favor of an extra trip on Everest and the Safari).

Thanks Nala! You answered in the time I was rewording my answer (again and again) and you said it much better than I was going to.

I think that most of the resort restaurants you have listed can be exchanged for anything else.

You can easily scratch:
Shutter's
Olivia's
Maya Grill

Your current schedule will not let your daughter see and do everything, you really will only be shuttling from restaurant to restaurant.

I would restructure your days so your restaurants agree with your park location. Doing a water park and a park in the same day can be challenging, so you want to make sure that you focus on park restaurants on those days.

Otherwise you could always do both water parks on the same day (less changing time and getting ready to go from Blizzard Beach to Typhoon Lagoon than getting ready for a park) and then hop from Magic Kingdom to Epcot on a day. This would also give you more time to stay at Magic Kingdom if you wanted to (I see that you only plan on half a day at the Magic Kingdom, and you may want more time there)

I wouldn't recommend Chef Mickey's and Narcoossee's on your Epcot Day, do those on a Magic Kingdom day.

On your Animal Kingdom Day, I wouldn't schedule Flying Fish that night unless you are staying in an Epcot resort. I'd choose something closer to home for that night and relax a bit. Open to close for eight days is tiring, even for a 16 year old.

Disney's Hollywood Studios are close to Epcot, so I might swap out one of her Epcot wish list restaurants for 'Ohana this night.

There are many good CS that aren't just burgers and fries, in fact MOST CS's have other options. Columbia Harbor House, Cosmic Ray's, Sunshine Seasons, Tangeriene, Wolfgang Puck Express, Earl of Sandwich, Main St Bakery, and on and on.
