I can't remember the name of the Mall that is downtown, where the Old FAO toystore was, they had some different shops*, I am always looking for different stores myself........
The Mall that has all the high end stores reminds me of the Wrentham Premium Outlets right near me, not too interesting.
Remember the FL tax on clothing as well some places in the Orlando area is 12-13 percent tax, FL taxes everything (compared to MA for clothing) we don't buy too much clothing when we go, not worth it. Compared to Key West where everything is taxed 18 percent!=your best bet is to try that Mall in the DC area, the Outlet Mall. We go there sometime on the way home.
If I can get the name from DH I ll post it to you, are you driving?
If you are looking to find some out of the way shopping and have a car, try
Winter Park, near Rollins College area, they have great shops, and botiques!
My DS is going to college there in the Fall so we've been all over.
And if you go there and want to try a great place for lunch, go to the White Wolf Cafe-it's park college/local tourist eatery, artsy and half antique store, food network suggestion, now we go on all our trips.
Orlando itself is really like Natick, or Boston, same shops as back here......
You are like me, you like to shop and find different things, but keep in mind the sales tax, similarities unless you can get out to the suburbs or Orlando with a car........
Have fun shopping!
