My daughter is turning 3 a few weeks before we go to Disney in October. Do you think I need to buy a ticket for her for the parks? She is tall for her age but she is also a scaredy cat. I would hate to spend all that money on a ticket only to have her sit in the stroller and not do anything? Do they question ages at the gate? She is tall for her age. Any advice on this would be great.
Thanks!

Yes some CM's will question you. Why not buy a ticket and then you wouldn't have to worry about it. Can you reschedule your trip to go when she is 2?

She will be three so you should buy her a ticket.

I will buy her a ticket...I don't need that extra stress of worrying about her age. I should have booked it about a week earlier so that she would be 2 but oh well! I'm sure it will be worth the extra money when I see her little face light up as we enter the gate!princess:

When my oldest was 3 I did not buy her a ticket. She had just turned 3 and I was not sure if she would ride anything. She rode everything she could. That is such a great age to take to MK. And I was never asked her age, she was in a stroller. But I was afreaid I would get asked.
On another trip when my youngest had turned 3 I bought her a ticket. I knew it was not a waste of money. And the right thing to do.

Save yourself the embarrasement and get a ticket just in case your little one speaks up and says no I'm 3, if a CM asks you. Kids are great at correcting and embarrasing us.

Not sure why you posted this on the "Resort" Board when you have already posted it on the "Theme Parks Attractions/Stragegies Board" which is where it should be discussed!

Oh, I have lots to learn abou the DIS boards...this is where I would've posted it too!

My daughter will be turning three a few days after our January trip. If we would've been able to book the cruise when we wanted to (Jan 20 instead of the 13) she would've been turning three while we were at the parks. We would not have bought her a ticket at that point.

So sorry to post to the wrong board...I'm so glad that some people here are so friendly that they post unwanted responses to a person asking a question. Some people are new here. It probably took more effort telling me I posted to the wrong board than just moving on...

Have you read this thread (just curious).

We went to WDW 3 days after my son turned 3. We bought him a ticket. He was actually less scared to go on rides at that age than he is at age 5. The only rides he couldn't go on were the 4 or 5 in MK that have height requirements. We had at least 10 rides or shows that we went on in MK.

yep.. buying a tickets is the right thing... it doesnt matter if she wont ride anything... an 80yp wont ride much but they still need a ticket:goodvibes

We were originally checking in on my daughters 3rd birthday.. so we got her a ticket.. than we added a night and are going a day earlier.. I still kept her ticket since it was 2 different reservations.. plus with free dinning i am having her and my almost 2yo share food.

We are going to sea world 8/25 the day before she turns 3. This way shes doesn't need a ticket:thumbsup2

The right thing to do is buy a ticket. Don't worry she will get a lot out of WDW even if she is too scared for rides. :)
