Dating: Should you date to get married or date to have fun?

IBecause dating typically leads to intimacy within a few months I limited the number of relationships I entered into.

That's the gist of what I was saying. After a few months the intimacy starts to set in and at that point, what does one do? Save it for marriage or proceed? I guess everyone will have a different answer.

After a few months you aren't dating anymore - you are in a "full on" relationship. A creature of a different color, IMO. I never had a relationship "just for fun". I only had relationships with people (friends or lovers) who I wanted to have in my life long term. Marriage - possibly - but I didn't have months long relationships with women who I wouldn't have married...
