Dates for a pin code

Does all of your stay have to fall within the dates listed on the card in order to get the pin code discount?

Our stay started a day before the pin code, I was hoping to just get the discount for the rest of the time, but I had to do a split stay. My understanding is that if the dates fall after the pin code, they will just discount the appropriate days, but allow you to do one reservation.

Your stay has to start within the pin code dates, but you can get the discount for up to something like 15 days after. So say the pin code expires Oct. 8, if you arrive on the 7th, you can get if for the next couple of weeks as well.

The opposite is not true. If the pin code starts March 23 and you arrive March 22, you can't get the discount for that night.

Only the exact dates listed for the pin# will be discounted. Example pin# valid 10/23-10/29

You can book any days between 10/23-10/29 all will be discounted

If you book 10/22 or before to 10/29 you will have to have 2 reservations one for 10/22 and one for 10/23-10-29 as days can not be added to the start of a promo. You may or may not have to change room but you will need to check out and back in again

If you book 10/23-10/31 ....10/30 and 10/31 will be at full rack rate but on the same reservation no need to worry about having to check in and out again or changeing rooms

I have been lucky enough to get a couple of PIN codes and my experience has always been that all nights of your stay must fall within the PIN code dates to qualify for the discount. If you're staying for 8 nights and only the first 4, for example, are covered under the PIN code dates, then your last 4 nights would be at rack rate with no discount. Free dining usually carries through for your entire stay if your check in date is by the last day of the promo, but PIN codes are usually date specific and do not carry through, from what I have experienced.

That is no longer true. sjs314 is correct - you only get the discount for the days that are available. The pin must be valid on the day of check in to keep it all as 1 reservation, but you will only be discounted for the available days.

For instance, I just booked out Christmas trip. The pin is valid until 12/24. So my 12/20-12/24 days are all discounted, but 12/25-12/28 are regular rack rate. The entire trip is on 1 reservation because the pin was valid for the beginning.
