Welp! We've finally set a date! My fiancee and I are getting married the first weekend of February, 2015 (Also our 10 year anniversary of being together) in Las Vegas! Destination wedding. It's going to be phenomenal! :)

And since we met through Disney, and got engaged at Epcot, well, we're going to be honeymooning at WDW as well!!!

We are veterans of the parks, so we know our way around and all...but this is an extra special event and we want extra special accommodations. We originally planned for Polynesian, but due to the construction, we are now uninterested. We usually stay at AKL, but we thought it would be extra special to stay at a monorail resort or one of the Deluxe Epcot resorts on Crescent Lake.

Any advice on which of these resorts are the most romantic/has the best amenities that my fiancee and I will enjoy?

Thanks so much guys!!!

Congratulations on your wedding.

I've stayed at Old Key West. And while it can be nice and quiet, I wouldn't necessarily call it romantic.

I've also stayed at Saratoga Springs (actually when it used to be Disney Institute). The grounds are humungous which can give it a less intimate feel, and I wouldn't call it romantic either.

I've never stayed at Grand Floridian but of course have been inside and around the grounds. It's very nice, but has a lot of activity going on with families dining at 1900 Park Fare and the tea room, and they have a new splash play area with a dinging bell. Although, the new villas might be a good choice with a view of the lake and the wedding pavilion if you can get in. Plus Grand Floridian has an on-sight spa.

I always feel like Contemporary is kind of noisy with the openness of it and Chef Mickey constantly going on. Although if you stay at Bay Lake Tower, that might be really nice if you have a view of the lake or Magic Kingdom (fireworks at night).

I've never stayed at the Boardwalk or Yacht/Beach Clubs, so I don't know what the rooms are like, but I love the feel of the lobbies and grounds. The lobbies are pretty, you can walk outside to the beaches/boardwalk and have nice dinners at the restaurants, get ice cream at Beaches and Cream, and I hear that I think the Beach Club has one of the best pools (with a sand bottom). Plus you have Jellyrolls and Atlantic Dance Hall steps from your room for nighttime entertainment. It's also within walking distance to EPCOT where you can have romantic meals in the World Showcase and see the fireworks. It's also very close to Hollywood Studios (a short boat ride away). I would say that those are the most romantic out of the areas you're looking.

Good luck!

Yeah, I've been leaning towards the Yacht, Beach or Boardwalk. We got engaged in World Showcase and Epcot is out favorite park, so the location would work out perfectly.

Now deciding is the tough part.

Thanks! :)

Beach Club, all the way! It has the shortest walk to Epcot and THE best pool of any Disney resort except Aulani. And you're going to want some relaxing non-park time around the pool. We spent our honeymoon at Beach Club, Animal Kingdom Lodge, the Contemporary and the Grand Floridian, and BC was our favorite. :goodvibes

One of the Epcot resorts. The whole area feels more adult, and there's a lot of restaurants within walkinh distance (or by boat of you prefer).

Definitely an Epcot resort! I would go with the YC. It's quieter than the BC, but you still get SAB and an easy walk to Epcot. You will also have a better shot at a full balcony. Congratulations!

Congratulations! Where in Las Vegas are you getting married? My brother-in-law & sister-in-law got married at the MGM Grand :)

Polynesian is always my top choice for romance, convenience, and beauty, but I understand not wanting to stay because of the construction.

I would also go with a Boardwalk area resort, but I would choose either The Beach Club or the Boardwalk Inn. If you REALLY want to splurge, you should rent one of the Boardwalk Garden Cottage Suites-those are pretty amazing!!

Thanks to everyone for your kind words and help! We have decided to go with Yacht Club because A) As many people suggested, it's the quieter resort, B) The phenomenal pool, and C) my fiancee fell in love with the large spacious rooms! (We watched a LOT of videos on YouTube as well)

We really wanted to do MGM Grand, too! But my sister works at the Monte Carlo, so we are going to be having the wedding there! :)
