AP's allow use for 365 days from the first day of use. If you upgrade a 4-day ticket to an AP on the 4th day of using that ticket, what is considered the first day of use for the AP? Is it the first day the 4-day ticket was used?

We plan to go the same days next year - if the first day of AP use is the 4th day of the 4-day ticket (the day you upgrade), we would essentially get free tickets next year.

I think I found the answer to my question...

It starts from the first day the ticket is used. It basically turns your ticket into an annual pass and annual passes are good from the first day of use.

So if your first day of use was July 1 for your ticket and you upgrade on July 3, your annual pass starts from July 1.

That's why the Costco tickets wouldn't be any good for upgrading to an AP if you already had used days on them that were further back than a year.

Yup, if you upgrade a 4 day ticket, your first date of use for the AP is the same as the first day use for the 4 day ticket.
