Dasani in Disney with a newbie and 2 kids. Sweat, pics and FUN! Link to pre-tr added!

Our server was really...weird. He was a good waiter, but he shared waaaay too much information with us. Something about how him and his ex wife were still friends...with benefits. I mean, really? Does that seem like an appropriate thing to say? We were all just like, yeahhhhh, and nodding. How do you respond to that?

uhhh....well, he does work near a "boneyard" so maybe he just can't help himself :rotfl:

T-Rex looks really neat! I hope we can get a ressie there next year when we take our niece and nephew.

Yeah, I think that conversation would definitely have been a bit odd. Very strange to discuss that with your customers! Glad to hear the meal was good though!!

Can't wait to read about check-in!!

Thanks :) I'm doing ok, really tired, REALLY broken out (nobody warned me around that-I'm talking like wanna wear a paper bad over my head broken out) but I will take these symptoms with pleasure for what it could be. I've got preggo nose in full force, so I am gaggy over certain smells, and just no appetite most of the time. I feel so accomplished when I eat "good" for a day.
the little monster will be worth it in the end!:lovestruc

I love Brayden's face in that picture of you holding him. He's looks so leery of the dinosaurs, he's just like "ya'll better not come over here!" :lmao:

Um, that waiter was definitely oversharing. Yeah, I would just want to eat my food.

I'm SO sorry I haven't updated in awhile! Both kids came down with hand, foot and mouth disease so it's been an exhausting couple of weeks! Brynn had the sore all over her and Brayden had them mostly in his mouth. So we didn't get much sleep at all and I just didn't have the energy to update. They are doing MUCH better now and I'll most likely be updating tomorrow! :thumbsup2

I know it's a little late but I still wanted to reply to everyone.'

Your kids have the most beautiful blue eyes. Brayden really doesn't look sure about those dinosaurs. How old were they on this trip. We're thinking on bringing our daughter just before her 2nd birthday, but we'll see.

Thank you so much! :goodvibes Yeah he was really leary of them! Brayden was 2 1/2 and Brynn was 13 months. I think your daughter would have a great time. People say kids are too little to remember but they definitely enjoy it WHILE they're there so I think it's totally worth it. Plus you make tons of memories yourself. It's a great experience! :thumbsup2

Love that last pic! Brayden's eyes are so cute :) My little guy loves dinos, so we will stop in to do the build-a-dino thing, but not sure about eating there. Is it really loud and crazy in there? My Bradey doesn't like loud noises. I planned Earl of Sandwich for our DTD day. But we will definately have to go in and look around TRex. Great pictures! Usually they are so dark and you can't see much :)

Haha thanks! It's really fun but it does get pretty loud during the meteor shower. Have you been to Rainforest Cafe? It's kind of like that when the animals come to life. It's mostly lights flickering and the sounds of crashing meteors, the dinos don't really roar from what I can remember. I took video of it, I need to post it!

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:You're so bad!!

We really like T-Rex! We've never had to make an ADR, we just walked right up. Just show up a little earlier than the normal eating times and you shouldn't have to wait too long.

Yeah that guy was crazy! :scared1:

Girl, I broke out like CRAZY with Brayden!! And there's really not much you can do for it. It started clearing up around 15 weeks and you're almost there so hopefully yours will too!
I hope you're feeling a little less sicky!

Yeah he was watching his back!! Poor thing.

Crazy waiter for sure!! He was friendly otherwise...He can keep his benefits to himself though!!

Saturday, September 24th

So it was finally time to check into our Disney resort! It was fun Clarion, but see ya!!

DSC_1637.jpg

When we checked in, Brynn and Chris both got "My First Trip" buttons. Chris wouldn't wear his. Party pooper!!

Also, after we checked in, the lady went and got the kids a blow up guitar! I thought that was a really nice touch. We haven't gotten anything like that before.

The kids still carry those things around the house!

Our rooms weren't ready, so we decided to head to the Polynesian for lunch. So off we went!

DSC_1641.jpg

I got the cheese flatbread (LOVE that stuff!!), Darren got a burger and the kids got nuggets.

We thought the kids would like the monorail so after lunch we hopped on and rode to the Magic Kingdom. Brayden LOVED the monorail!! I really need to get my videos uploaded to show his reaction because he just looks bored in these pictures haha!

Love the fall decorations.

Brayden's very first ride ever was the TTA, so we headed to Tomorrowland so it could be Brynn's first ride too. I still miss the old soundtrack!

Then we went to Monster's Inc. Laugh Floor. When they're putting people on the big screen before the show starts, Darren's dad got put up there with "needs a hug" under his name. We got a laugh out of that. I was hoping they'd pick him or Chris during the show but they never did. Some of the people's reactions are so funny!

That's all for now, be back soon!!!

sorry about the kids being sick! HFM was going around like wildfire apparently! Almost everyone's toddler aged children around here have had it.

Yay, you made it to ASM!! How cute are the guitars. That was sweet. Hey c'mon mom...TTA??? BORING! Now let's see Brynn ride Dumbo! I sure hope that is coming up.

I LOOOVE me some Laugh Floor. How cool that they put your dad up there. Did y'all give him a hug??

Your kids are so cute! I love that last picture of Brayden at the Laughing Floor. That show is one of my favorites!

Mmmm, I love the cheese flatbread! It's delicious!

You should definitely upload the videos from the monorail! I bet he was precious getting all excited! :)

So cute that both of your babies' first ride was TTA!

Brayden and Brynn are absolutely ADORABLE! I just wanna squeeze Brynn up!

So sorry y'all, I really don't mean to leave ya hanging!! Something important might be happening so I've been caught up in all that. I will update soon, promise! I need to upload some more pics first! :grouphug:

Now, THERE's a cliffhanger! Can't wait to hear!

Saturday, September 24th

After Laugh Floor, Darren, Chris, and I rode Space Mountain. I haven't been on any thrill ride since....2008 I think, so I was a little dizzy when I got off! I know most people love it, but I hate that drop that comes out of nowhere and feels like it keeps going and going. You lose your stomach more than once on that one drop! Hahaha! Not to mention that I'm ducking the whole time because it feels like you're going to hit your head.

BUT, it's a classic and it IS fun. Chris loved it!

While we were riding, Darren's parents stayed with the kids. They got them a snack and a photopass photographer took some pictures of them eating. I've never seen them do random pictures like that so it was kind of neat.

From there, we headed to Pirates of the Caribbean. Always fun. Then we hit up Aloha Isle for our first Dole Whip of the trip. It couldn't have come at a better time because it was HOT. Excuse the crappy cell phone pic, but you get the idea.

We walked through that area with the restrooms just as the parade started. Score!

The kids loved the parade. I love the theme song. It gets stuck in your head, but the good kind of stuck!!

Since this update has so many pics, I'm going to stop here. I WILL get through with this day eventually, promise!!

HELP! My daughter just came down with this! Any tips on how to deal with it?!?!?! I'm sorry to go off topic on your trip report, but I'm turning into a desperate mommy!
Thank you!

Love all the pictures Heather! I kwym about SM but it's fun! Glad you were able to ride it this time :goodvibes I do have to say that the Prince Charming in the parade looks a bit creepy.

How old is she? The only thing you can really do is wait it out. It's the worst for 2-3 days and then the symptoms get better. Tylenol/Ibuprofen for the pain and fever, and if she has them in her mouth, mix one part Children's Benadryl and one part Maalox or Mylanta, and swab it in her mouth. It will soothe the blisters. I gave my kids frozen teething rings to chew on. Make sure to sterilize cups and anything she comes in contact with. It's very contagious.

Poor baby, I hope she feels better soon! HF&M has been terrible this year! :guilty:

Thanks!! :goodvibes I thought the same thing about Prince Charming!! He looks like a mannequin or something. :confused3

Yeah very weird. I think it's his jaw line that's freaking me out the most.

Yeah and normally I'm attracted to strong jaw lines (Tim Tebow, Brian Littrell) but he has a funny expression on his face. I caught him at a bad time I guess!

I just looked at it again and it looks like he's wearing a mask. He must have light colored makeup on his face or something.
