Hi guys! My son qualifies for DAS at Disneyland, but I had a question. I know you can’t get the advance selections as an ILL attraction. Is there a way to do so the day of in the park? Or is there no way to get a DAS pass for those attractions (Radiator Springs, Rise, and Web Slingers?) Thanks in advance!

Day of, you can obtain a DAS for these attractions just as you would any other attraction. The only attractions that required additional steps were the ones with a virtual queue and I do not think there are currently any of those attractions currently.

Thank you so much!! Do you know if you need to be in the park to make the selections? What time can you make them?

You make them like you do any other DAS selection, After you have been scanned into the park you can start making selections.

We were able to use DAS for all of these on our recent trip. One thing to know is that the DAS option does not immediately pop up once you enter the park. It took about 10-15 minutes for us each day.

We booked DAS for Rise first thing upon entering the park (so around 9:15) and got a one hour return time. We did both Webslingers and RSR with DAS on our DCA morning (booked both RSR first then had lunch waiting for WS).

Thank you so much- good to know! It’s hard for us to be in a mass of people right at opening, so it’s actually good to know we can be a few mins later than rope drop.

You can request DAS for any ride that has a standby line. We ride Radiator Springs Racers every week using DAS. We also have used it several times for Rise and Webslingers. One thing to be aware of is that you can only make DAS return time reservations for rides in the park you are currently in, and if you park hop, the app takes several minutes to recognize that you have switched parks. Therefore, if you will be hopping and want a DAS in the other park, you can get one in person from any of the guest Relations kiosks. This way, the time you spend getting over to the other park and waiting for the app to catch up will be used more efficiently.

Just a heads up, on my December trip we had a DAS return time for Rise. It has been down frequently through the day. The LL line was pretty long- it spilled out of the actual line, with an added area for switchbacks and they had a few CM standing directing a switchback outside the queue. It took us about 45 minutes from the time we joined the line to get off the ride. Thankfully my brother can tolerate this, but I know not every individual can. I was speaking to a Guest Relations CM after this who we had spoken to a few different times on our trip and mentioned this. He was telling me that if I experience this again in the future to find a CM because they should have used an alternate entrance for DAS. I had never heard that and he said they are taught to try and limit the DAS boarding times to about 15 minutes (which seem unrealistic in some scenarios if a mobility device is needed on a ride like Space for example). I wouldn't question it in the future since it doesn't impact us too much, but I like to give people that heads up that the wait times for DAS are a little longer than when there was no Genie+ and ILL. We also saw this one night at Guardians and we skipped it (the line was all the way down to the Avenger building and wrapped around a few time. I anticipate it would have taken about an hour to ride even with LL.

Wow! Thank you for sharing your experience with it, and for letting us know about a possible DAS entrance only. If we encounter that issue, I will definitely reach out to a cast member.

To be fair, I am not sure if such a thing even exists, but it was interesting to hear that.

Yeah, that CM was just trying to smooth things over. There is no additional special entrance. The LL line is what it is, and everyone, DAS included, has to stand in it when it's long. Its happened to us numerous times at Radiator Springs Racers and Webslingers. Webslingers DOES get you in faster once you reach a certain point, they basically let you cut right into the preshow room. Nothing like that exists at the Rise, though.

Yeah, I didn't expect a special "entrance" per say, but thought perhaps they have different ways of boarding if a person needed additional accommodations. I have seen certain LL be longer and we have skipped them for that reason (like I mentioned above, Guardians got REALLY long one day we were at DCA). I am sure something CAN be done, but isn't widely advertised.

The only time I've seen an alternate entrance is people on wheelchairs who need to ride in a special vehicle, like at Racers and Toy Story. They go in a separate way.

This happened to us one time with Guardians. The LL line wrapped around and was extremely long when we got there for our DAS return time. It was reported to be over 45 minutes long. My DD couldn’t handle that so she cancelled her time. In talking with a plaid at Guest Relations he mentioned coming either early morning or shortly before 1pm. No alternative entrance for DAS was mentioned. The suggestions were something that would be suggested to everyone else.

I am nervous about this. If the LL lines are the same as the DAS line...that is troublesome. My son won't be able to tolerate long waits, which is why we need the DAS pass.

We may have a DAS eligible person with us next trip. How do you coordinate DAS with ILL? I guess I mean how to you pay for the DAS based ILL?

Hope that makes sense

How long is too long? Disney is super clear it is not a front of line pass, and that there is a wait when you get there, just shorter than a normal wait.

Before the pandemic shut things down, DAS users had to wait in the same lines as Fastpass/Maxpass users. So in my view this isn't that different.

We were there on a moderately busy weekday and our DAS wait times were fairly minimal (less than 10 minutes on rides with Lightning Lane). The biggest exception was Indy, where the LL merges with the regular queue super early. We waited at least 20 minutes on that one. You might want to watch the standby wait times on that one and go when standby is low.

In general our DAS wait times were also lower in the mornings the 3 days we were there. More people were in the LL as the afternoon/evening wore on.

The other longer LL we encountered were when rides were temporarily broken down. This happened on the Matterhorn where we had a line to even check in to the LL. We chose to get out of line and come back later (you can easily cancel your DAS and make another selection).

Also keep in mind there are a large number of rides without LL (all of fantasy land, Pirates, many smaller rides). We were able to get on those quite quickly through the exit after waiting our designated DAS time outside the queue.
