DAS question with new genie launch

I renewed my DAS on my last visit (last Saturday) before the launch of the new fast pass program.. do you know if I have to re-register again or am i okay? When I went to get it again they said that I was in the system but they had to renew it because of a new program..

I don't know. We renewed a DAS on November 13 and then when we returned Nov 20, we had to re enroll because it didn't "carry over" and the CM warned me that we might have to re enroll AGAIN on our next visit (which is Saturday). Given the massive issues Genie+ is having today, I'm not optimistic about our DAS still being active.

We had to do it twice over this past year. Once with new key and again after OBB.

I called the guest services number that is listed on the page for the DAS and they said that if you registered recently that you should be fine and don’t need to re register until it’s time again.

Yeah, that is how it's supposed to work. Problem is, the Disneyland system has been glitchy for several weeks now with DAS. We have had problems where some family members dropped off the registration, the registration didn't carry over even a week, issues scanning in for rides, etc. It was working smoothly until like late October/November.

Yes I was able to get return times from my phone. So what you do is you click on the area with the four little lines (the far right corner) and then you scroll to the bottom and it should have the DAS option and once you click on it all the rides will show up and you click on the one you want and then there is a little button that tells you what time you can return and you click on the button and press confirm with all the people in your party and you’re good to go.

Yeah, this didn't show up automatically for us. We had to visit a GR kiosk and they gave us our first return time and then had me hard close the app and re launch it and THEN the new tile appeared. They said this happens to a lot of people. It SHOULD automatically show up once you scan in, but it might not.

We had no issues making our own reservations for the rest of the day, although you can only make them for the park you are physically in, and still have to go in person to get a return time for the other park. We wanted one for Small World since it had a 60 min wait, so we had to get it while we were still in DCA from a cast member. Hope that changes eventually.

I registered in the parks on Tues, 12/7 and when the system was finally working on Thurs., I didn't need to reregister. It was automatically working in the app, but rides are only available for the park you're currently scanned into. No problems with booking rides for our party, but do make sure that they scan every ticket at the ride, or you'll have to go manually cancel the active DAS tickets for the last ride before being able to book the next ride. I'm grateful you can do this in the app, because I read the early version in WDW didn't alliw you to cancel rides without GS.
