Hi everyone! I plan on attending the diamond anniversary at Disneyland/DCA on May 22nd: This will be my first visit to Disneyland/DCA in over 15 years, and I'm already excited!

From what I understand, the park(s?) will open at 6 AM and close 24 hours later that day. I'd like to ride as many (different) attractions as possible and would like to know if Guest Services will be open at 6 (or prior to) and issuing DAS passes.

I understand that 5/22-5/23 are blacked out for AP holders, but that because this is a special event, crowds will be quite large. Can anyone offer strategies for minimizing the wait to obtain one of these passes on the morning of the 22nd? Thanks!

To my knowledge, Guest Relations is always open whenever the park is open. No reason to believe otherwise for this event.

As for obtaining a DAS -- I don't think Guest Relations outside the park issues DAS so you must obtain one from either City Hall or the Chamber of Commerce after entering. I know of no particular way to get one earlier unless you have an AP or multi-day ticket and get one on a prior day.

Since it has been a long time since you last visited the California parks, I recommend you read the DL & DCA - Disability Access Service Card thread pinned near the top of this forum for details of how the card works. It is different than the previous GAC program, and also has some specifics at DL/DCA different than WDW.

Enjoy your visit!

Based on the 50th, DCA opening and the previous 24 hour days, they will not open prior to 6am. Additionally people begin to camp out the night before (it depends if there's merchandise or a free item this time as to how bad a lineup will be). So getting into the park at 6am is unlikely unless you lineup, say, an hour early. It's hard to judge because they've all had different crowd levels for these. I don't remember how they did it last year, but in the past they've only distributed FP up until regular park hours. If that's the case, expect that they won't offer DAS returns either, which they don't at other after hours events.

Also, it is not a blackout date for all APs, just the southern California passes. The Premium and Deluxe are valid :)
