DAS for those with Cognitive disabilities only?

It's pretty sad that you inferred that I expected more for my child. That's very sad. Oh well. And I don't need to bother with explaining why it did not work for us. This forum is less then welcoming.
most people on here are trying to be helpful.

Without expecting you to share anything, I'd encourage you to go to Guest Relations and explain what did not work for your child. Be as specific as you can, especially if there are specific lines/attractions/situations that seemed to be especially problems. There are some additional things they can do, but there is an expectation that people try the system before getting additional assistance. And, the better you can the explain the issues, the more likely you are to get help.

yes please go to GR and tell them why you are having problems you will need to be as specific as you can just saying the DAS dose not work for me will not help you need to go in to a lot of detail. They do offer other accommodation on a very specific basses but you do have to work to get it. ( I have 2 extra things one of witch is very hard for me to get another is automatically add when I go into the park to my DAS)

this is from disney website that say...

"Special Accommodations for Specific Circumstances

DAS, with its virtual wait, will accommodate many of our Guests with disabilities. We recognize, however, that our Guests with disabilities have varying needs, and we will continue to work individually with our Guests to provide assistance.

In unique situations, our Guest Relations staff will discuss special accommodations for persons who are concerned DAS doesn’t meet their needs (e.g., those whose disability limits the duration of their visit to the park or limits their choice of attractions).

All accommodations will be made in person, on site at Guest Relations. We are unable to provide accommodations in advance of a Guest
visit."

I hope you are able to talk to someone at GR about your need and are able to have a great trip.

That case was about appropriate services in an emergency related to guests with disabilities and offloading during a ride stoppage. It had nothing to do with a GAC.
Actually, I found some of my notes about this and not that anyone will believe me, but it involved a lot more than that. The person was originally denied a GAC and if he had been given one, he wouldn't have already been waiting as long and there would have been less issues.

This was according to the nurses that were on duty at the time, so I can't provide a link and I won't name names, as they probably would get in trouble for talking about it in front of guests and the nurses in the parks are amazing.

It also reveled the fact that first aid at that time was not considered wheelchair accessible, as the counter heights were all too high and there were no lower counters.

Guest Relations also had similar issues at the time, which has since been corrected as well.

There were a few other issues as well, including handling disabled guest on attractions when they break down, but I won't get into all of that.
