DAS during Special Ticketed Events?

Can a DAS be used during special ticketed events? I'm going to Merriest Nites in Disneyland and although I always get a DAS for regular park days, I have never gotten one for Halloween or Xmas parties etc. I will be on my own this time and even though wait times might be short, I thought I'd feel better having one. But I don't remember ever seeing CM issuing return times at DLR during events. Is DAS available during these type of events?

Technically, DAS is not available during these; however, if you have one already on your day ticket, you can let them know and usually they will direct you through the FP queue with no return time needed.

We had our DAS still from the day, but it never came up because the best part of the parties is the limited crowds. Most rides had no more than 5 min line at a sold out Christmas event.

I have used my DAS for the Halloween parties at the MK at Disney world with no problems other have been told no. You can ask and see

I was able to use DAS at the OBB. Go to an Information Kiosk, and the CM will attach your DAS to your party ticket. My regular DAS did not work for the OBB. I had to request a new one that was attached specifically to ny party ticket. It did not interfere with my regular DAS at all.

That is new, but does seem to make sense with how DAS works since the Genie roll out.
Ability to book DAS Return Times seems to be ‘hooked’ to having a park reservation and being in a park, at least until after 2pm when park hopping can occur. But, some people have posted they were able to use their ‘regular’ DAS without a park reservation or ticket when they entered early for their after hours event.

Im going on November 16. I will find out if they can attach my party ticket and will report back what happened.

That happened to us, too. We entered during the early party hours, but used our Magic Keys, not our OBB tickets. I was able to use my regular DAS during the early hours, but after the party started, I needed to use a DAS attached to my OBB ticket.
