I am headed to WDW soon with my 15 and 13 yr. old sons and my 5 yr. old daughter. My daughter has down syndrome and is also a "runner", gets very over stimulated at times, and generally can be a handful at times plus she has an issue with her neck that prevents fast rides such as BTMR.
My question is this - my boys will want to ride the bigger rides as will I. My daughter, while maybe tall enough, likely will not tolerate those rides. I realize that I can send the boys through to ride while I wait and then can ride either alone or with one of them and they can wait with their sister but she can be a pill to watch at times. I can usually keep her occupied or calm but to expect the boys to do that for 20+ min. at a time while I ride is a bummer.
My question finally is this: can she wait in line with us so I can manage her while they ride and then could I ride after they exit and we can just pass my daughter - meaning they only watch her for the length of the ride? Or do they either have to watch her outside the queue or I don't ride? Thanks.
