I saw the resale offer for the beach club conferred with DH he said go for it, called made an offer on the machine (the office was closed). Sister calls me hour or so later, she won a chance to see Garth Brooks in Vegas and we have until 8PM next day to purchase flights and everything, darn I had not planned for that and DH really wants to go that is why sister entered the offering for the chance to get tickets. Anywho DH keeps helping me feed my disney obesession (who me?) so I called and cancelled the offer for the timeshare before it was given because we had not planned on another add on but Wow it was just perfect not alot of points, with banked points -so pretty. Then in the AM I began the search for flights/tickets and such figuring around a $1000, well after a couple hours best I can do which is workable for us was $1460, we could go a little cheaper but the flight time would be really bad and both of us would have to miss another days work$ plus babysitter for another day$ so really higher than $1460 but I told DH if you want to go we will. DH said na it's too much. !!!!!! But I cancelled my disney offer! DH replies man you shouldn't of done that. So I quickly hot foot it to the phone and call -No it hasn't been sold- Yeah make the offer, wait another note here- it has been sold. So nothing, I got nothing. Well I do have that surprise trip (for the kids) to disney in November.

Hopefully another contract comes up for sell that's even better.

Sorry about missing out on Garth Brooks. We were lucky enough to see him in a small setting when his first record was released and he put on a great show even then.

WOW...... well I hope another comes up very soon for you all. :goodvibes

Something similar happened to me. After waiting forever for the right contract to come up, I missed out on a BCV resale over the weekend too. (I was the 2nd caller.) However, on Monday, a kind DIS-er pointed out another BCV contract that was the same price and had some banked 2008 points too. I got lucky this time on what I think is a better resale contract than the first one I missed out on. Now I just have to pray it passes ROFR.

I'm sure the same pixie dust will rain down on you too! Keep the faith and good luck! pixiedust:

Bummer Yeadisney but I am sure something else will come along just keep looking! Everything happens for a reason.

Good lucktonios mom on the ROFR! What type of contract was it points? Price? Just curious.
I just did a BLT add on and was unaware we could split the contract for the same price per point so after receiving the closing documents I called our guide and told him I wanted a 60 and 65 point add on or 40, 40 and 45 instead of 125. Our guide advised against the (3) 40 point contracts with no real reasoning behind it. (more paper work for him?) Still not sure I did the right thing we have 3 bigger contracts all of equal value and 3 teenaged daughters so that would have been the best case senioro for us.

I am also thinking moving forward a few years if we decide BLT is not where we want to be or we do not need as many points we can more easily sell the smaller contracts at least that seems to be what I am reading. This dis board has been way more helpful then my guide that is for sure!

It's a 53 point contract $89/point. It has all '09 and some '08 points banked (Dec UY). I'm praying it passes ROFR. Even though I am paying all MFs and closing costs, since it's loaded I'm a bit worried. There seems to be no rhyme or reason why Disney exercises ROFR these days.

I wonder why your guide wouldn't do the 3 contracts for you. If that's what you really want, try to push back. Unless you need financing, there's no reason why you can't have three 40+ point contracts. I am thinking of doing a small 50 point BLT add-on, but it would only get me a studio when we travel in November every 3rd year, so I think I'd like to try a BLT studio first. I know I will love the location, so it's really about whether or not I want the studio. I've heard some not-so-great things about BLT studios. I'm sorry I didn't take a tour when we were down there last month.

Wow--crazy story.

At The Timeshare Store, Inc.® we have been receiving about 150 to 180 new DVC listings every month so, hopefully, something will come up for you soon.
