DaraAllen / DaraSue & Family needs our Prayers and Pixie Dust

If you were not already aware of this, DaraAllen's brother-in-law has been very ill lately. Unfortunately, he is not going to make it. She sent me this message and asked that I post a message here on the DIS for her. Here is what she said:

Jazz,

Thanks so much for doing this. I really appreciate it.

I need a favor. My brother-in-law is dying as we speak. My sister-in-law only has dial-up and I am not a patient person. Would you please put up a post for me telling DIS that our family needs prayers and pixie dust, and that everyone with whom I was to trade things, I will do so as soon as I can get onto a real computer.

Thanks Jazz. He is only 47. It is awful.

Please ask everyone to be patient. I will complete the trades.

Just letting everyone know that Vince died just after midnight yesterday. He was surrounded by his family and went peacefully.

It was still awful and I have completely changed my mind about dying at home. I will not do that to my family!

Someone asked what disease he had - he had liver cancer resulting from hepatitis C contracted 23 years ago via a blood transfusion. He had a terrible car accident, which was caused by his drinking and driving. Please children, hear those words: Vince died as a direct result of drinking and driving all those years ago. It took 23 years to kill him, but it did. Do not, under any circumstances, ever drink and drive!

Vince was 47 and leaves behind a wife, a 14-year old son, a mother, two brothers and a sister, and 11 nieces and nephews.

I don't know how I missed this thread before, but I feel terrible that I did. I'm really sorry for your loss . I'm glad his family could be there for him that whole time, though.
