Dancing around the world~One pole at a time~~~Return of the prodigal trip reporter...

You must really live by faith to try another taxi ride in Disney. I'm so glad that your faith was rewarded.

Your food looks so good! What movie did you sleep through?

:lmao:

on the expensive meatball comment. Jeff would have gone through the roof at the lack of meatballs no matter how good they were.

I say :thumbsup2 on the $10 nap. Vacation. Nap. It's ALL good

Yeah, Anara's name often times resembles something like AndrewrebekahmichaelazachoooooooooooooooooohhhhYOU!!!!

Yippee!!! I get to try WGPE too!!! Hooray!! It all looks so good!

See all I have to do is yell LITTLE BOYS WHOSE NAME STARTS WITH E and it covers me most of the time.

My mom would just run though our names in age order. Cindytoddphillipmelissakerri.

Except she wouldn't stop at the right kid. Instead at the end she'd say "or whoever you are"

Cherie, so glad you had such a great Easter weekend! Thanks for sharing - you got some great pics! I love Newport - did you eat at Moe's?

I'm glad the taxi gods were smiling on you for your trip to DTD. Love the $10 nap - I would have done the same thing - and Jim would have let me snore, too! :rotfl:

My grandma did that with the names, too - she had 6 kids and 23 grandkids - she would run through quite a list before landing on the right name!

Hi Cherie, Your Easter trip looked like you had a wonderful time. It is so nice to get a change of scenery-especially during construction. I love to embarrass my kids too! It is so easy-all we have to do is kiss and they are like "oh gross!":lmao:

Love the sea photos, they're gorgeous :)

Your meal looked good and what film was it that you slept through? :rotfl:

This looks yummy!

I also remembered to pull this little guy out of my Vera....

This is Susan's son Jeff who is on a mission. He came to visit me and make the trip to disney...I was a bad, bad flat sitter.....he spent way too much time forgotten in my vera bag.:sad2:

Holy cow!!! :cool1: I'm so glad I came to see if you had updated your TR! I'm sitting here on hold with the IRS (lovely way to spend an evening) with an estimated wait time of "greater than 30 minutes." This was a nice surprise! I'd rather be at Disney in your Vera bag than at home any day! :dance3:

About 15 minutes into the movie, which I had been dying to see, I passed out and woke up for the last 10. D.Jay says it was a good movie. I just had a $10 nap.

Sleeping late and napping during the movie! You really were determined to rest and relax this vacation!

Oh wow! Are you thinking about coming all the way out here?? Fire away!
yep...I may need a week in the looney bin after.:rotfl2:

That pecan crusted chicken looks soooo good!!!
it was....I need to find the recipe..

Cherie, I have followed along with all your TR's but don't think I have posted much. I just had to comment on your trip to Oregon. Your story of your mother brought tears to my eyes. I'm glad you had a chance to visit your aunt and celebrate her life for a day!

The picutures of the kids at the beach are wonderful, they are growing up so quickly, especially Bailey! My first vacation with my hubby was to Oregon when we had been dating only a couple months and I have such great memories of that trip, it sure is beautiful there!
thank you! there is something so peacefull about the ocean

Hey Cherie,
There are so many talented trip report writers on the DIS and you are no exception. I love your humor and the love you have for your family. Your Easter weekend pictures are incredible!

Looking forward to more.....
thanks! It's good to know I'm not the only one amused by myself.

This wasn't addressed to me, but I've been there a couple of times. My recommendations for you would be:

1) dinner at the King's Arms (delicious)
2) see an 18th century play (hilarious) check out their events calendar
thanks! I need lots of help with planning this trip...more details later..

Morning Cherie !! The food at WGP looked wonderful !! :cloud9:Was that the TS restaurant or CS !!! :confused3I know later in the trip we enjoyed a very good cs meal at WGP !!!
Expect you've heard I am OFF in June on my first Escort job !!!:rotfl2:! The Elvis Weekend !!!:rotfl2: Now if anyone has any tips on good but reasonable places to eat or things to see we have a lot of lattitude in sightseeing and eating !! Best part is for Carol and I it is FREE!!
it was the TS...so yummy.:cloud9:

Glad you didn't have any taxi mishaps this time! Both of the dishes look delicious!
anytime I have a successful taxi ride, it's a miracle.

I slept through When in Rome. d.jay thought it was good.

I think it's a common porblem with mothers....my kids are sometimes even called the dogs names.

My grandma did that with the names, too - she had 6 kids and 23 grandkids - she would run through quite a list before landing on the right name!
that sounds like my grandma!

I love to embarrass my kids too! It is so easy-all we have to do is kiss and they are like "oh gross!":lmao:
embarrassing my kids is one of the few things I do well naturally.:rotfl:

Love the sea photos, they're gorgeous :)

Your meal looked good and what film was it that you slept through? :rotfl:
thank you...the beach is my favorite place to take pictures.
I slept through When in Rome

yuk, the IRS! that's a crappy way to spend a monday!

Morning Cherie !!!!

good morning Rosie....a day late.

Mmm, the food looks yummy!

I only have one sister, but my mom still managed to call us by the wrong names. She'd call us by our aunts' names (she has 5 sisters). Once she even called me by the dog's name, which was a little offensive.

My dad took my niece to see a play and told me he kept calling her by my childhood name. ;) What goes around, comes around I guess!

I'm starting with the next times already, but next time I gotta make it Wolfgang's that chicken looks yummy. We ended up at T-Rex which was good too but I wanta go to Wolfgangs. lol.

I only have one child - you'd think I could get his name right, but when my nephew is in town and staying with us I'll often mix their names up! It drives my son nuts!! :furious:

I call my little brother and sister's spouses the wrong names....

Dani & Aaron are the babies of the family. I was 9 and the youngest when Dani was born and then Aaron came along 14 months later. they were like twins and were always grouped together as "dani&aaron"....well now I call Dani's husband Aaron and Aaron's wife Dani..

It must be a universal problem....Even if I numbered the kids I'd still get them mixed up.

Yeah I was on hold for TWO HOURS!!! Seriously TWO HOURS and then they CUT ME OFF!!!! ACKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!! :scared1: So I called back this morning when they first opened and got through in 10 minutes!

I realize as I start to type this that some of you may consider having me commited once you read my "plan".

17 and a half....yes that's an important half...years ago when we were married I had visions of traveling the world...or at least he country with our family. I love to travel and I think it's important to expose our kids to as many experiences as possible.

Well as with most plans, things didn't work out quite the way I intended.....this is the theme of my life. If I want to make God laugh, I just tell him my plans.

Instead of starting our family after a few years we were surprised with a baby about 11 months after our wedding.....this led to 3 other kids, years of struggling to make ends meet so that I could stay home with them and a vacation budget of a big fat zero....actually it was probably a negative zero.

So over the years I've kept a list, an actual paper one, of all the places I want to go with the family. Last summer it dawned on me that I only had 3 left before Evan would graduate and our family vacations would never be the same. It has become my mission to pack as much into these last few years as possible.

Last summer we drove half way across the country so this year I thought why not go all the way?

We will be spending 3 weeks of auguast on the road. This is our itenerary so far...if anyone has suggestions or knowledge of these places PLEASE let me know! I need help!

Leave Washington

Minneapolis

Ohio...my sister lives about 2 hours from colombus in the middle of no where so we're working on a meeting place

Niagra Falls,

Palmyra, New york

some where in PA...thinking about Hershy

Washington d.c.

Richmond, Va...my brother lives there, I want to hit the historical sites and the beach while we're in that area

Williamsburg, Va

Durham, NC
Charleston, SC

St. Louis,

Utah

home

wow..that's just wrong...you deserve some chocolate for that.

Wow that is an impressive list of places. We lived in South Carolina for a while but it was in Columbia. We only visited Charleston but I think you like like it and I'm sure CP can give you a list of things to see and do.

So next year are you going to hit the Deep South?

Great idea!

I so agree with you!

I think it's a great idea! Growing up, my family drove across country, down into Mexico, and many trips down south. They are some of my favorite memories. Your family will have a blast!
