Dancing around the world~One pole at a time~~~Return of the prodigal trip reporter...

Ewwww, so you're sayin' this guy was wearing his undies in the parks?? Gagging has commenced!

You know me... I love hat pix. I don't look good in them either, but it's an upcoming theme... In fact, I'm thinking I may turn it into a contest for my TR.

Rosie! can you post your Trifle recipe? I would love to try and make an authentic English Trifle...:thumbsup2 my
ex fiances dad was english and his mother would make the best trifle!!
but that was 22 years ago since I had it too,,,,

Winkers...I bought that same pink Minnie shirt for Angelina last week!! I love it! :goodvibes ::MinnieMo
Sure Ed !!! This is the Americanized version but very good!!!

1Pound cake (I buy them at Dollar Tree for a dollar:rotfl2:)
2 packages of Instant vanilla pudding, prepared as directed
Cool Whip or fresh cream
Strawberries either fresh, canned or frozen
Slivered almonds
For adult version Cream Sherry for non adult juice from strawberries if canned or applejuice will work

Chunk up about half of the pound cake and place in a deep glass bowl
Soak the cake with sherry or juice ,
Sprinkle almonds
Top with strawberries
Spoon on the pudding and smooth out
Let chill for about an hour
Top with cream and sprinkle almonds on top !!
Voila !!
You can use any variation of canned fruit , mabdarins fruit cocktail <I just prefer the strawberry version !!
The sherry version was VERY popular at our Managers Christmas Party and the little left over was devoured by my 2 male staff!!:lmao:

Cherie !! I am planning ( I know that is so unlike me ):lmao: a family trip next August!! If finances and Furnaces allow !!! I was thinking of the Allstar suites !! I can't find much info on them but price wise for 6 of us ( the girls are bringing a friend) It was quite a bit cheaper than 2 rooms at Pop!! Where are the suites located ? Judy wants close to pool and foof court , but I couldn't find any maps showing the locations ????

Cute cake! I don't have a creative bone in my body. I loved the idea of the flag, drinking coffee and almost lost it:laughing: I can just see my husband and kids turn around and walk the other way as I go speeding through the park alone with my flag waving away:eek:

no, I'm sayin he obviously didn't have any on under his skin tight partially see through shorts.

I can't remember right now, but we did have one room on the ground floor that was right next to the pool . We've always been fairly close to the food court. I'll look through my stuff and get back to you.

:rotfl: maybe we need to have a tourist guide flag annonymous group. We could take turns following each other around. That's about as close to it as I'll ever get.

And I'm saying maybe those WERE his undies. :confused3:lmao:

Good grief, your pants are brief... I"m thinking it's the next top 40 hit.

I'm turning over a new leaf and instead of just enjoying trip reports and going on my merry way without posting, I'm going to delurk.

I've enjoyed your previous TRs (and your journey with Jordan as flat Winkers) and I know I'll love this one. You're very funny.

Your new kitchen is beautiful and I'm so green-eyed jealous! Ours is somewhat updated at this point as far as appliances go but that's it. I've given up the dream of a total reno. Maybe when I'm 65 I'll finally have those granite counters and a cooktop large enough to put 4 large pots on at once. And a double oven...and new cabinets...and an inset sink. Sigh.

Leaving for the World in 2.5 weeks and I just love reading TRs to get in the mood. Looking forward to the next post.

OOOOH!!! I love the new backsplash! And look at what a good job Ethan did with decorating that cake!! Too cute!!!!!

Our first day at disney started around 8 when we got up. For us, that is unusual.
Normally, we are up at the butt crack of dawn and at the begining of the crowd for rope drop. We are on the go from sun up to sun down, or whenever we just can't move any more.
I am a disney touring comando. If I thought my family would allow it or pay attention, I would be waving a little red triangle flag in the air as my group followed.
I've always wanted to have one of those little flags, I think they have some secret controling powers....I.must.have.one.

But my dream of vacation touring domination would have to wait for another year, because we had decided that this would be a relaxing vacation. To me vacation and relax are two words that don't go together. I was worried that I may need a prescription sedative to over come my inability to let one moment go unfilled.

I told d.jay the night before that we'd just sleep in and go to the park when ever we got up. I was determined to relax even if it killed me.;)

We arrived at DHS around 10 without a game plan...again, this is so strange for me. We grabbed fp's for TOT went for a ride on RNR after only a 14 minute stand by wait and headed for my favorite show in disneyworld, Beauty and the Beast.

While we waited for the show to start...I really miss the pre-show act!, I did a little people watching.
One of my observations from our trips to disney is that you can pick out a few nationalities just by the clothes they are wearing. One south american country I've noticed has some interesting styles...they are similar to the typical american wardrobe, but just different enough to stand out.

As I was sitting there I spied a tour group heading my way and quickly saw an interesting sight. There was one guy wearing skin tight "seersucker" shorts that were white and light blue stripped and see through!:scared1:

I was too stunned to get my camera out in time but it was bad. Those shorts left NOTHING to the imagination. Of course I tried to get D.Jay to look but he was too late. It must have been d.jay's lucky day because we saw them after the show....again I didn't get my camera out. I know, you must all be so disapointed.

We did a little strolling through the shops....

The cake that you were making when I called you came out nicely.

This trip was soo different for me as well...mostly in a good way.....

Cherie I wish I would have known of your flag fetish earlier! I could have made you a flag and you could have led us around MK the night of EMH! :lmao:

When we went back in 2008 we were in building 10 right near the pool and food court. From what I read back then, the only buildings family suites were in were both Calypso buildings and both Jazz buildings. Don't know if that has changed or not.

On the theme of what people wear to Disney check out this site.

http://www.peopleofthepark.com/

It's kind of like the Walmart site.

Oh dear lord help me! My family is going to think I've really lost it now. :D PoW is one of my daily site visits. It's like a bad car wreck that you just can't look away from.
