Hi all,

Kind of a strange question, but I need to know!

In June, Im flying from Detroit to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Im on American and have a stop at DFW. My question is, will I have to go through another set of security for my connecting international flight (ie get off inbound flight, walk to international terminal, go through security, get on plane)?

Hopefully I can get an answer!!

I am not 100% for sure, but I do know that DFW has different terminals. If you fly into terminal A, but your connecting flight is out of terminal C, you will have to ride this monarail thing to get to the other terminal. I don't know where the international terminal is located.
 
Pretty much all of the international flights, including PVR, leave from American's gates in the new international Terminal D. Coming in on a domestic flight, you'll land at gates in either Terminal A, B or C. Just find the nearest Skylink station, which are inside the secure area, there are two stations in each terminal), and take the train to Terminal D (assuming that's where your flights leaves from). You should never have to re-clear security in Dallas.

Coming back, I'm not sure how or where you clear customs, I haven't flown to/from Mexico on American or through DFW.
