Just finished the first of the new series of Doctor Who with Christopher Ecclestone and you know what? They managed to make Daleks - talking trash cans - appear nasty and sinister. Things that exist solely to kill and can't be stopped. There's everything - innocents slaughtered for no reason, a massive firefight... and these Daleks were patently nasty. Now, David Tennant time!
