When I asked at a cart they said there was dairy in the popcorn.

But I thought I remembered Brenda say it was lactose free.

Does anybody know? I didn't get any, as I wanted to make sure.

In February, it was completely dairy free (lactose, casein and whey). They use Orville Redenbacher popcorn oil and kernels. My daughter and I ate it several times with no problems.

The CM at the cart just knows that it's "buttered" popcorn. The CM doesn't know the nutritional information.

Confirm with Brenda obviously. Things could have changed since February.

I have never had aproblem with Disney popcorn except for the gluttony. I have not heard of reactions and the following may be outdated. I use th3e Natural plain Redenbacher popcorn with no reaction to it either. If there was dairy in the popcorn then Disney could be in big trouble as they say that the popcorn is only oil, salt and corn. Dairy is not allowed on casein free diets as well as some religious diets and vegan diets.

At Walt Disney World, Disney provided a ‘Dietary Request Reference Sheet’. Initially I was delighted to see
it but soon realised that it was incomplete and misleading. For example, the list identifies the popcorn (Orville
Redenbacher) and popping oil (a coconut, corn and canola blend) that is used by the vendors, and notes that the oil
manufacturer also produces peanut oil. This is great information, as many people with an allergy to peanuts may choose
to avoid this product due to the risk of cross-contamination. Those with a tree nut allergy would be wise to stay away
since coconut oil is used. But the list fails to mention that a butter (milk) mixture flavours the popcorn. It was only through
questioning the vendors that I learned this

Great!

I really wanted one of the popcorn buckets last year, but I didn't want to buy it if my niece couldn't eat it.

I try not to eat things in front of her that she can't eat, unless she has something similar. Like ice cream for me and Tofutti for her.

For anyone wondering about the Brenda mentioned to confirm it with, her contact information and some other places to contact for diet information are int post #3 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread near the top of this board.
