Dairy Free "ice cream" treats?

I am looking for Dairy free ice cream like treats in the parks. Anyone know of anything??

I believe the Dole Whips are non-dairy. I am lactose intolerant and I read on the DISBoards that this wonderful treat was perfect! It is amazing!!

Thanks! DD is lactose intolerant also, so we are trying to come up with a list of things she can choose from ahead of time! Also, cross contamination is not an issue.

The popcorn at the carts is DF. Most table service restaurants carry tofutti and/or rice dream ice cream. The ice cream shoppe at MK has tofuttii and I think one of the ice cream cones is also DF, have to double check that one. There are Enjoy Life cookies, OMG It's Gluten Free brownies and cookies available that are DF too.

Special Diets is sending out the lists again, so if you email them, you should get a list of dairy free foods. It will only list special allergy food though. Things that are naturally DF, like the popcorn, won't be on the list.

Since you're only dealing with lactose then yes, Dole Whips are safe, all 3 flavours.

Some other frozen treats which are dairy free are as follows. I'm only listing locations inside the parks that are outside of restaurants since you asked about treats in the parks.

• frozen pineapple bars (from ice cream carts all over the parks)
• frozen strawberry bars (from ice cream carts all over the parks)
• tri-coloured popsicles (from ice cream carts all over the parks)
• Tofutti soy ice cream (available at the ice cream parlours in the parks)
• Rice Dream rice ice cream (available at the ice cream parlours in the parks)
• Frozen Coke

You can check with Special Diets to find out if any of the fruit smoothies are dairy free. I'm thinking of places like the stand beside the teacups in MK (can't remember the name).

I don't have anything to add to the already excellent responses, but on our last trip the Whole Foods in Orlando had Yours Truly Tofutti Cones. They are like Drumsticks, but DD12 (egg, dairy, tree nut, and peanut allergic) can have them. We just found them in our town today. They are worth looking for if you have problems with dairy and want an ice cream novelty.
