I hope that Skip finally gets some real answers today about what is causing him pain. I know that you are both ready for something to be done to help him.

And, I hope that the news is good so that you can move forward with making some sort of vacation plans.

I just wanted to pop in and say today does NOT look good. We are having horrific storms coming through in the next hour and Skip is NOT pleasant. I'm nto even sure if he is going to the Dr's at this point and time. He is oe to ride a tornado out with his cows.

well as I was typing that he came in. We now have a tornado warning. But he is going to call the Dr's before he leaves to be sure they are still open. I'm worried about Claire at school though now. But it looks like on the radar that are area is in the least of the bad stuff.

So anyways!!!!!! Not sure what is going to happen with this. I think the Good Lord is trying to tell me something.......but I just refuse to listen.

Our warning expired and the rain has died now. Thank goodness. But I was supposed to go to lunch at 12:30 in a little town called Whitehouse with some friends, and I canceled. Just heard on the news there is a unconfirmed siting of a tornado in Whitehouse right now. So glad I canceled!

So glad to hear that you and Claire will be okay. Now, we'll just have to pray that your friends don't go to the Whitehouse area either.

Well, I'm checking in with you. Are you planning on going with Skip to the doctor? I'm glad you skipped your lunch too! How scary! I hate storms when I have to be out in them. I'm perfectly fine with them at home, but if I'm at work and Cortlyn is at daycare, I always worry. Of course, she doesn't mind storms. Her only problem is the rain, since she can't play outside in it!

I hear you about the weather!! We've had serious weather come through NKY as well. I think it's part of the same system.... be safe and I hope everything is okay.

I am glad everyone is ok! We don't get that kind of weather here very often thankfully. I can't imagine how scared you must have been. Hope Skip is still able to make his doctors appointment and they finally figure out what is wrong with his hip!

Skip sounds so much like my uncle. He wouldn't ever let my aunt go to the doctor with him but he wouldn't ask all the questions that he needed to ask. She would get so darned frustrated.

Skip has to get his hip re-replaced! The said his new hip never adhered and it is moving around in the socket. So when we kept thinking he had all the same symptoms as those who had the recall hips, we were right! Because his has basically done what those have done. They are going to use a different kind this time around. I can't believe it took this long to get it all figured out.

He is NOT happy at the moment.



They were going to schedule it done for Dec 12th...Yep I said Dec 12th. the trip we have planned is Dec 8-15th.


But my wonderful loving husband told them to wait till the beginning of next year so we could go on vacation!

That being said, he is grumpy right now, and we may not be paying it off today, which means I have to cancel the Pop portion until he gets in a better mood. I will wait till later and see for sure, but when I probed a little further about the trip, he said it's the last thing he's worried about right now.
So we are still in limbo, but the plan is to go at this point and time.
