Cruella was cool. I just kind of walked up on her and decided what the heck. I told her I was getting this taken for my DD who was sick back and at the room and she was so nice and said she hoped she got better.

I love the Aurora dress. I don't know if she can stil lwear it anymore. It is probably pretty short if it fits at all. That girl is growing like a weed!

I'm so sorry Claire was sick. For our 2008 trip Eryka was throwing up the whole way to Disney and my son was throwing up the whole way home. It sucks when the kids get sick on vacation

Yes, but they really need to be secured a bit too. So bring some bubbpins. I think I had to use the Tiara we bought her to actually keep it on her had because I didn't have any bobby oins handy. They sell them in alot of different gift shops in many different colors.

Isn't she cute. We thought it was hilarious that she was making such a big deal over Prince Charming. I even mentioned that "dad" was like Prince Charming and she said no, he's just dad.

Ever do something stupid...trying to get a bargain...I did that today!
As you may remember I have mentioned I want to do the resort photoshoot. On one of the threads this family has on co-ordinating colors of turquios and dark brown. The little girl has this adorbable dress to match. She mentioned she got the outfits on the Lands End site, and they have lots of co-ordinating itens and colors.
So I took a look today and they had that really cute dress in a size 6, which would be perfect for Claire, and it's on sale! I found a turquois top for me, and I found a turguois shirt for Skip..and a chocolate brown one and figured I get both and decide which he can wear when they come. I couldn't find a free shipping code, but had read if you go to Sears, they will order it there for you and you get free shipping. I had to take my mom for a procedure today, so I figured I'd run over there since it was close....and I did...only to have both t-shirts in Skip's size no longer available, and the dress in size 6 is out of stock as well. And these were clearance items...so no chance of a restock. UGH!!! I was trying to save $9 in shipping and totally lost out.
I did find the dress on amazon in a size 6, but it has 1 1/2 days yet before I know if I won it. I'll just have to look for something in dark brown for Skip and if Lands End still has the shirt in my size then, I'll order it and suffer the shipping. LOL!

Skip also got a call from the Hip Dr's office today. They want to run more tests, and then depending on what the tests show, he may have to have surgery again. I'm not sure what prompted him to get on the ball, but perhaps he is getting in reports from other Dr's now and it is all pointing towards the hip, so he is trying to finally figure it out.
So tomorrow Skip goes in for some kid of blood test. He said he does 1, then does another 2 hours later, and then a third the next day. I think they might be injecting something in the blood to to see if they can find where the infection is.

I'm excited about AKL, but can't allow myself to get too excited just yet, in case we cancel the whole thing. But I think that when we do go, if it's at a later date, and I can get a 40% off code again, then I will try to do at least 1 night at a deluxe. I think we would really enjoy a relaxing day like that.

That 2008 had alot of little special moments like ringing the bell. It was fun.

After that wonderful 2008 trip...of course I couldn't wait to go back!


Soon I was plotting a return trip. I was going to be turning 40 in Feb of 2009! We MUST celebrate it in style. I really needed to start losing some weight, and did fairly good too. I decided a Disney cruise was what we needed to do.
I read TR's in the cruise section and did all sorts of math and planning, etc. Skip wouldn't totally agree, basically saying we wouldn't even begin to book it till Jan or later.
In late Jan. 2009, my sister took her DD who was turning 5 on a surprise trip to Disney for her b-day. So talked picked up again at family get togethers. They were only going for 3 nights, so I tried to give her some info, etc.
During this time, Skip said, he really didn't want to do a cruise....he's afraid one of us will fall overboard.
BUT, lets go back to Disney.
I was a bit upset, but not too much. After all I LOVE Disney, and I would make it special. The 4/3 deal was going on, and at that point hadn't been extended, so we book 6 nights (getting 2 free), at Pop!
Skip insisted we leave out of Totledo airport this year, and luckily the flights worked out. They only fly out 2-3 times a week from Toledo to Orlando. (Sanford)
I did more planning, found out new things to try and was even lucky enough to snag a CRT ADR about 2 weeks before the trip.

Alot of you have read my 2009 TR, but I'll try to condense it here for those who haven't.
One thing I did on this trip was have a note each morning waiting for Claire with a gift. Each note was from a different character/s and it would say stuff like I can't wait to see you, hope you're having fun, etc. ....Claire really loved this. She truely beleived each note came for that character/s and she was speical.
On the day we left I had one left from Nemo on our Counter with a leapster game wrapped. She kept asking how Nemo got to our house. Did he swim all that way?
Here is the note, just to show you basically what I did all week.

So off to the airport. Evidently Leapsters and games set off the warning signal. The one was still wrapped, and they asked what it was, so I had to quietly tell them what it was so Claire couldn't hear.

We arrived at Sanford a bit early, got our rental car and went out to find it. Claire walked out and felt the nice warm weather and said "I LOVE Florida, can we go swimming?"
So that was the plan once we checked in.

We checked in and got Claire's suit on and were off to the pool!
