If we opt to pay for daily housekeeping, does that include Mickey toiletries? Also, can turndown service be requested/paid for in cash?

Our kids are still young and go crazy over the Mickey soap/shampoo and I know that is one thing they will miss with DVC (if we pass ROFR..lol)!

Thanks!

I beleive you can buy the soaps etc at the general store, may be wrong on that. Will you buy if you can not get the soaps? LOL

They replace the toiletries with trash & towel service, which is only $10.

Yes, full housekeeping service does include replenishing soaps, changing all linens, doing dishes, vacuuming, removing trash, etc.

I'm not aware of any turn-down service being available- but it can never hurt to ask.

Enjoy!

Thanks for your quick replies.

Now all we have to do is hear about ROFR.

Thanks again!

Actually, I thought I read in some posts quite a while ago that some members were able to specially request turn down service at either BWV or BCV (don't remember which), and there was a charge, so that service may vary by resort. I know that OKW does not offer it, and I'd doubt that SSR would have it available.

Either way, it is not an option that is publicized as being available to folks in the DVC Villas.

We have learned that we don't miss the daily maid service at all with our DVC. If you want more soaps, etc. then on T&T or full housekeeping day leave a tip and a note and I'm sure they will leave you extras.

Ditto. We have come to actually PREFER no housekeeping because we never have to work around the time that mousekeeping arrives. We love the complete privacy.
I can attest to the willingness of mousekeeping to give extra soap, etc. They have been very accommodating whenever I have made a special request.

Double Ditto. It's something that you might not think about, but there's nothing more annoying (well, in a vacation frame of reference) than coming back from a long morning at the parks, wanting to change into your pool attire, and seeing that housekeeping cart outside your door. At SSR, on your TT day, they leave a big basket w/all the linens outside your door - sometimes I'm tempted to bring it in, change the sheets and towels, then put it back outside! :p
