Good Morning!

Today will be an interesting and wet day I believe. We did have a tornado touch down about 2 miles from the house in the middle of the night with the tropical storm coming by but no loss of life- just some property damage from what I know.

Today:
work on book
check on people from church
check on summer plans for preK
parenting class

Rebecca

Good Morning!

Prayers and pixie dust to all those in need.

Rebecca, glad to hear everyone is safe!

Today:
work
stop on way home to sign papers
make-up shopping :scared: need some specifics for dance pics and recital
dinner?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Stay safe Rebecca...
Hope you can find what you need Cassey..

I'm up waiting on our vinyl siding delivery... I think DH had me order too much but that will mean less we need to order to finish the back in September! :woohoo:

So today's agenda:

dinner menu
grocery/shopping menu

finish :laundy:
switch out winter for summer clothes & clean up closet
DD to work at noon
DS17 to work at 1/ then soccer
DS12 and I to get something productive done... not sure what yet.. maybe a movie??
dinner

I have a few other things I would like to do today but it will depend on the expected rain.. :(

Prayers and pixie dust to all in need.
Hope everyone has a great day.

Just a quick check in ...

Dad's surgery went well yesterday - they removed his big toe and left the wound open to drain. They will close it up on Monday - they want to give the bone infection and MRSA time to clear up. He's on super strength antibiotics which make him sleepy but he's in good spirits.

He also has to get an angioplasty in his leg to help improve its circulation and he should be able to go home next Thursday or Friday. He will be off of his foot for 4-6 weeks or longer. Plus, this wound is so fragile that there is a 75% chance it will open again and often. If that wasn't a pain, there is also a 90% he will have another amputation on the same foot within the next 18 months. Apparently the fun is just beginning....and to think that this was all avoidable had he listened to the doctor back in April, what are u gonna do?

If that wasn't enough, I learned last night that a friend of mine from work passed away the day before. He was only in his mid 40's with a wife and three young daughters. Kidney cancer - such a shame!

Went to Aquasize this morning and tidied up the house. Going to the farmers market in a few.

Our rain has left although we are still quite windy and cloudy and under a tornado watch until 10pm. Stay safe Rebecca - I know you are getting hammered with rain right now.

Good luck on your lists everyone!

Becky

hey, quick stop by
getting Richard's meds & drying out
we did ride Kali with a 5 minute wait going to hop over to Epcot later today
I did get the cutest umbella hat - I'll post a pic when I get back:lmao:

Becky, sending hugs to you and pixiedust: for your dad. Hopefully everything heals and he won't have further surgery.

Reddy, hope you are having a blast! Can't wait to see your hat!

Okay, who knew make-up was so expensive?:faint: $60 for lipstick, blush, eye liner and mascara. YIKES! Oh well, she is good for pics and recital.

Becky, happy you Dad is out of surgery, hope his recovery will be good and he listen's to his doctors!

Reddy, can't wait to see your photos!

Cassey, ouch on the make-up was it professional grade? lucky for us we can use any brand, just need certain colors!

meeting for tonight was cancelled, so picked up Arby's. had fun at goodwill, found Megan's shirt and 14 shirts for the BLB boys and 9 dresses for the girls! Megan picked out most of them, was fun!

Just went to CVS and bought what she picked. Next time I will pay closer attention to what she is picking, serves me right for letting her loose.

Megan looks very happy with her finds!

Becky, glad to hear your dad is doing well.. continued prayers for a good recovery!!

LOL! Cassey she'll be a lot more careful with the money soon... I finally got sick of PJ nickel and diming me for make up...and I gave her cash... she came home with money!

Great find for the kids, Lisa! Megan did a great job with her choices..

We got new shutters on the front of the house today.. I love the color.. it's midnight blue on our gray vinyl siding... LOVE IT!
We put more siding up on the west wall but we need a larger ladder for the weekend and more time because these are the pieces that we have to cut to fit the angles of the peak.. While they are working on those pieces on Saturday, PJ and I are gonna rip off the east wall..

Mom and Dad asked what DH and I wanted for our birthdays... we told them they could give us some money to replace a window at the back of the house.. they are bringing the money up next weekend! :woohoo: I'm so excited... While it's only 1 window of the 3.. it's that much less we have to cover.... I've already been pricing them.... I know exactly what I want..

Hope everyone had a great day today...I have to get up and get DS12 off to football conditioning tomorrow morning...and then get him before I run my errands... then I hope to scrap tomorrow.. I need to get the baby pages done...

wow, that's expensive make-up! Megan does better about choosing her things when its her $$ too...told her for back to school shopping I was giving her so much $$ and she had to choose how to spend it :thumbsup2

she did have fun shopping for the kids!

the colors sound great together Nan! nice your folks are gifting you a new window!

We're home :) I'll check in and give details tomorrow!

Julia does way better when it's her own money.:rotfl2: Guess mom's is limitless.:confused3
