Good Morning!

Happy Friday the 13th!

Rebecca, hope a nap is on your list!

Today:
Work
sort letter swap
Julia dance at 5pm
dinner chili or tacos

Trying to figure out how to discourage the bird that is fighting my bay window. I can't figure out if he is seeing his reflection and being territorial or he is trying to get in the house! He has been at it since 7am and is still going strong. I am afraid he is going to hurt himself. Any suggestions?

Hope everyone has a great day!

Cassey

Good Morning everyone
Happy Friday the 13th

I hope you get a nap in Rebecca
Cassey - enjoy going thur the letter swap (I don't remember what I did for it but I'm sure I'll enjoy what I get back)
as for the bird - maybe put something on the window until he finds something else to fight - maybe get a cat but that would be only if you really love cats & want one

I have to go to work today - less than a month to go until summer vacation
hopefully it isn't as crazy as yesterday (computers were down so I could only take cash - do you know how many people don't carry cash now??)

Good Morning!

woke up early - allergies have flared up BIG time with all our tree pollen, Megan's even complaining about it

Cassey - birds hate owls - print a photo of one and tape it to the inside of your window I have a BIG bird problem at our condo bought a plastic statue of one to put on my deck and they stay away now :thumbsup2

today:
send off tax stuff to IRS
sign up for disney event swap
make list for spring/summer swap

load of towels
maybe scrap a couple of pages
p/u megan

have a wonderful day!

Happy Friday :)

Sarah's senior year is slippng right through my fingers!!! She graduates 6 weeks from today :scared1: Prom is next weekend and then we are crazy busy with activities (concerts, awards nights, AP tyests, science olympiad, etc) until graduation :upsidedow She has decided she doesn't want a graduation party of her own :sad2: but wants to go to all her friends parties instead and then maybe go out to dinner with a few of her friends the following week. Anyone who's been through graduation have advice for me? I'm starting to get really sad--especially since Rachel is graduating next year. Then my house will be totally empty

Today's list:
Rachel to the allergist for a shot
Post office
Target pharmacy
Return a sweater that doesn't fit right
Work on page swap
Dinner????

Have a great day :flower3:

Cheryl, I feel your pain!!!! We graduate June 1 and we have so much going on between now and then.. DH still has to remodel her room, plus both boys have soccer games 2 a weekend condensed in 3-4 weekends.. we start tomorrow!!! I need to sit down and list all the other Senior activities.. I know officer elections are for C in 2 weeks that gives him 1 week to get a tux for prom since he'll be helping put on Prom next year!!

We have Prom in 2 weeks... PJ's dress came in Wednesday.... She looks gorgeous in it!!!

I would suggest as Lisa did to have a family party to celebrate... just have it at the house and just send out invitations to the families... then Sarah can join if she wants or run with her friends.. PJ didn't want a big party so that is why we are having a small one and friends/family can come and go as they please... We are doing it more as a celebration for us too...showing how proud we are of her... Now the boys will tell her we are celebrating that she will be moving out in a few short months and that they are going to get Dad to convert her room into a game room so they can throw parties... They even told her the air mattress will be blown up for her to slip on when she comes home!

I have been very teary eyed lately...it's really starting to become more of a reality..especially after registering her for classes at the University 2 weeks ago...

You have my number if you ever want to talk... I know exactly what you are going thru over the next few weeks... (I've already started hoarding tissues into my purse!)

Cheryl, I agree that a small party for the family is a good idea. Let Sarah have a say in what day you have it. Josh also wanted to attend his friends parties and we ended up having his the weekend after graduation. Best of both worlds for him.

I wish I could say it was easy getting used to having them not home, but it is an adjustment. Just remember you have raised a wonderful daughter and that this is part of her growing up. Cell phones and email are great tools for keeping in touch!

Stay sane over the next weeks and remember to take time to enjoy each moment!

Lisa, thanks for the tip, it is going to look odd but I am printing a picture of an owl and putting it in the window.

Had to pop in with the results of my MRI yesterday - lower lumbar right sided herniated disc. For 2 weeks i have been through more tests for my heart etc... and FINALLY it apppears that this is the outcome. Emotionally it is wonderful to have an answer. Now, on to see a neurosurgeon..... but that is a story for another day.
Walked up and down stairs for the first time in 10 days - took it very slowly too. My butt and knees will be happy for a change.
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. :thumbsup2

So glad the have found the problem and now on to the fixing of it.

Why don't you see if she would prefer for her graduation party to be a few weeks after graduation- once all the other parties have calmed down and then all of her friends will be able to make it to hers. I know that some of our graduates in Labelle did joint parties- all the parents chipped in on the food and such and they each had a table(area) for their own gifts/pictures/ect. That way they could be together and no one had too much of a load. (the party ended up at being at one of the 4 girls grandparents house)

Cheryl - good idea to have a surprise party later on!

Lisa - hope your DD is doing better :goodvibes

Caroline - happy you got more definate answers and its not heart related, hope you can get your appointment soon and all will be fixed soon!!!

Cassey - hope the photo trick works!

Rachal - your bar is looking pretty clean, doesn't seem like it needed a once over :confused3 yes you have TONS of storage behind it! any new houses you are looking at??

Got my HI photos today :cool1: so I can really start focusing on them, did get some pages done earlier of those I bought on the cruise!

Cheryl, I would just do a little get together, for the family. Less stress :)

Lisa, its a mess. probably because I look at it all day. haha. It has the tea party stuff still on it and we had dinner down here last weekend. and DBF has taken to collecting empty coke bottles on it :confused3.

Negative on the house hunting. We looked at one 2 weeks ago. smaller than we want but laid out awesome. decent location. problem is that it has a LONG dirt road leading to it, so there lies the issue since the road isnt maintained by the people that live on it. and it had some huge swimming pools in it.

We have 2 more to look at on sunday.
