Daft Punk's Tron Soundtrack!!!

I was checking out amazon and Daft Punk’s Tron soundtrack is out and it’s only $3.99 right now!!! !!! They did ALL the music for that new Tron movie so that is their new album!! I’m freaking stoked because Daft Punk hasn’t had a new album in awhile!! Give it a listen and pick it up http://amzn.to/gTKo7t it’s awesome to hear from them! I picked up a copy of the soundtrack earlier this week. I think people looking for a legit Daft Punk album will be disappointed (except for Derezzed).

This is definately a film score, and one of the best I've heard. I was very happy that they went with a real film score and didn't just try to score the movie with their style of beats. The original TRON sountrack is one of my all time faves, and while close, Daft's just doesn't have the same impact. Wendy Carlos pushed the bounds with the original TRON mixing an orchestra with digital synth. Daft Punk does the same thing mixing techno with an orchestra, and while it's killer, it's just not as ground breaking as the original. It's definately a lot darker and more serious than the original TRON, but the movie looks to be a lot more serious as well.

As a film score, TRON: Legacy is amazing ... as a Daft Punk album buyer beware
