Hey all,

Here's something I have been thinking about recently...

We're taking our summer vacation to Disney this year. 7 days at CSR with lots of park tickets, using the quick service dinning.

Vacation time is always so interesting for me and in many ways such a shock!

My two boys are 4 1/2 and 2 1/2 years old. This is by far not our first week long vacation, we've done them every year since the oldest was 18 months old.

This will however be our first big vacation with no-one other than the 4 of us family members. Didn't bring that up cause it's scary, we all get along.

What is a big change for us all is that I spent all day at work. I get up while everybody else is asleep and I return home right at dinner time, 5:45 at our house. This year, more than ever as the boys get older, there's a schedule to their days. I should mention that my wife stays home.

Anyway, vacation is a great time. But, you know I think it's a big shock for a family. A shock in the sense that it's out of the norm. It reframes your life for that period right before and right after it.

And of course, that's all a good thing. Disney makes this even better. That's the magic of Disney, it's a world created. It's a place that you can remember as magic and there's nothing that's comparable.

But still, sitting here at work today, two weeks out, I keep taking deep breaths. I am both excited and nervous to jump into the boys and my wife's world!

Of course finally, I wish Disney had more trill rides! I just got back from Kings Island, IT IS THE BEST. 14 COASTERS!
