Have any of you lovely people who joined the club received your D23 stuff yet?
If you have got anything from them please can you tell me what you have? How was it sent?
I'm still waiting and it's driving me:Pinkbounc:Pinkbounc potty no sign of it in the postal system here yet so I'm wondering how it will arrive.
Oh I hope it hasn't got a customs charge on top too which would delay it even longer:eek::scratchin:bitelip: It was posted on the 18th March so I would have thought it would be on the way here by now:confused3

Mine says it was shipped on the 18th March as well. It's taking ages :confused3

When I have ordered from DisneyShopping before it's only ever taken 5-7 days and the stuff has usually come by UPS or DHL.

Can you track your shipment? I can't seem to find a tracking number for mine, which makes me think they have sent it USPS which could take ages and it will probably get a hefty customs charge :(

I tracked mine through a link I had on a confirmation email it takes me to the Disney Shopping site and from there I can track it but it said the last action for it was it's despatch on 18th March at something daft like 3 a.m. :confused3 no further details available... so frustrating. We've had tickets sent in the past by USPS and UPS and they never took longer than 5 working days:confused3 I guess we'll have to wait a little longer if I have not got mine in another week I'll send them an email. Hope yours turns up soon too:hug:

Interested that only 2 have shown they have signed up ;)
Like others show Disney whether you think this a good idea or that they have disregarded a large part of the Disney fan community by writing to Disney Inc.
There is a thread in the Unplugged forum with addresses :thumbsup2

I was considering it before I saw the hefty price tag. In the current climate I just can't justify that amount of money.

On a small side note (but still kinda related) the link for D64 in your sig doesn't seem to go anywhere Reid. I just get my profile instead

I have had my two charter member pins, which came by UPS a week or so before we came away.

The membership kit and Tinkerbell pin have shipped but I won't know if they have arrived until we get home.

Click on the D64 and you'll find some on facebook :thumbsup2

I emailed them and this was the reply

We do not have a tracking number provided for you at this time. However, you must allow 10-12 business days for the item to be delivered to you.

Hmm it's day 12 a week tomorrow let's hope it turns up or they will be getting an email from me too. Working for Royal Mail I know it should not take this long to arrive from the USA unless it's sent surface mail. We've had other things from there much quicker and the P&P didn't cost that much.

Yeah, it worries me that they "don't have a tracking number available" since this implies it wasn't sent UPS/FedEx but rather through the usual mail system which can be much less reliable and slower....plus we'll get the £8 ParcelForce clearance fee if the packages get caught up in customs

I've always been really pleased with the shipping before so I'm disappointed on this occasion, especially considering how much they charged. Hopefully we'll get our packs soon :thumbsup2

I was going to join, and then I saw the price for international shipping!

Is it really $57.95 or am I doing something wrong? If it is who has paid it? I think it is quite a lot to ask over two thirds of the price of the item just for shipping!!!

Yes that was the correct price for P&P I guess it's a bit cheeky since it hasn't even been sent by the express method, I paid the P&P but I'm not happy with the length of time it's taking. For that much they could have made the extra effort to get it to us quickly.

Yep. My other reaction is not allowed under the DISboard guidelines. But if you listen to the DISUnplugged podcast there is a good statement there about kissing the sunshine that covers it :)

I'm not too happy about that either. I just assumed that by paying almost $60 in p&p that it would arrive quickier than it has.

I agree it's the equivalent of around £40 it should have been possible to send it express for that much money, all of the bits put together couldn't have weighed over 2000g surely. It would have cost less to ship something to them from here in a much quicker time frame:confused3 and been able to track and trace the items too included in the cost:confused3 . Oh well keep waiting for them to arrive, they have one more week... it's amazing this week I've lost track of how many other couriers have stopped outside my house and took packages to other neighbours... it's like rubbing salt into a wound.. very annoying okay now I've vented I'll calm down again sorry everyone:crazy: Thank goodness I didn't buy anything else from the D23 merchandise line:rolleyes1

I got an email from DisneyShopping yesterday checking-in with me to see if it had arrived yet. I replied that it had NOT arrived and they then said they are sending a replacement out to me today.....

Not sure what good a replacement will do if the rest of you guys haven't received your orders, either. I also complained about the shipping fee and was told "the shipping fee is correct because shipping to England is expensive" LOL

OMG this is worrying:scared: I hope things start to arrive soon and really hope that HM Revenue & Customs don't hold them up .. it's a possibility though... or there could also be extra charges to pay before we get our goods:scared: According to their website "Import VAT is payable on all internet shopping bought from outside the EU where the value is above £18. Customs duty is payable on imported goods with a value of £120 although payment is waived if the amount of duty is less than £7." So I worked out the "value" of the D23 membership magazine is about £54 so VAT will be around 15 % (have I got this correct?) at £8.10 to pay plus a handling fee:scared1:

VAT is charged on the value of the goods AND the shipping cost. By my reckoning our bill will be around £14 plus the £8 parcel force clearance fee = £22 total. :(

It is especially stupid if you do have to pay VAT & Duty, as the vast majority of your $75 registration is for a magazine subscription, which should be TAX-FREE. The rest of the items should not be chargeable either (membership certificate and card - just club freebies in any real person's terms) but a lithograph could be implied to have a purchase cost, although certainly not over the £18 lower import threashold.

So Disney's very heavy (insert your choice of phrase here) shipping charges will probably push you well into the VATable zone. :( These sort of things should be posted, not couriered.
