? for D23 Members do you like it? Is it worth it? I am looking into getting a membership for myself.

Sadly, no. I'm a charter member and I'm letting mine lapse this year. Unless you live close to the parks, I don't think it's worth it.
We went to D23 convention last year and it was the biggest disappointment of my life. I planned a 2 week vacation around those 3 days and I hate to say it, but I was so disappointed about missing all the things that I wanted to see that I was crying when we left on Sunday.
So I get 4 magazines and some trinkets every year... No, not worth it.

I was a First Day Charter Member and I also let mine expire. I found $75 for 4 magazines and a couple of patches just wasn't worth it. As pp mentioned unless you live near Anaheim for the movie premiers or Orlando it isn't worth it. If you really like the magazines you can buy them for less.

Although I realize there are many who disagree with me I agree with the above posters. We love the Disney Parks and frequent them several times a year but D23 felt like a rip-off to us. They charge for everything and give trinkets in return.

We left the Expo exceedingly disappointed, too. D23, in my opinion, is for the wealthy. Great if you can afford it. I don't know that the rumor is substantiated, but I heard the $1,500 special tickets for the 2013 tickets sold out in 7 minutes. The masses, of course, can get in for much less but even if they handle the crowds twice as good as last year it will still be a mess and you spend all your time waiting in lines. We waited 4 hours to see Dick Van Dyke and finally realized how ridiculous we were.

And, as the other poster said, unless you live in California or FL, forget it...almost all the events take place there and you have the added expense of getting there to take part.

As in all things, it's a choice. We are choosing to let our memberships expire.

Thank you for your honest replies I guess I would be better off buying a Doony and Burque wristlet instead now I don't have to make that choice thanks.
