Cypress Pointe Grandvillas?

Has anyone stayed there recently? What did you think? Have they done any renovations, do they need any? Any area I should request? We are going over Tday, already booked for 10 adults in a 3 bedroom unit plus a 1 bedroom unit.

Any help would be appreciated.

We love it. We have stayed 2 or 3 times. My husband prefers to stay there than on site! We will stay there again. The Grand Villas are newer and have elevators. We have stayed in the older phase and had to lug our suitcases and groceries up the stairs!

Does anyone know if there are DVD players at the Grand, I know Cypress Pointe phase 1 has them (we stayed there in March this year) but am wondering about the CPGV.

Did 13 days there from June 23 to May 5ish...
First week in CP1 and the last at CP2. We had 3 bedrooms at both places. They just did a lot of work on the place. We try and stay here when we go down to WDW. We have never stayed on property, as we need a lot of room and we take 5-14 people when we go down.

They have everything you will need to cook. You will have enought laundy soap to do maybe 2 loads. Make sure you do the inventory when you get there, so you have everything you need.

The Volcano pool is fun, not to fancy, or big. But nice.
There is a grocery store very close, it is not the cheapest, but very close.

We have made it to DTD in less then 7 min from CP. And there is a back road into the Disney property that takes you by Wilderness Lodge that cuts out a lot of the traffic. The front desk should have a map.. that is what we used to find it. Sorry, no idea what the name of the road is!

turn left out of the resort - turn right at the disney signs (hotel Plaza blvd).

at the stop light in front of DD - turn right - Buena Vista Drive.

at the first real left turn (not one going into SSR) - turn left - Disney Vacation Way -

at the traffic light decide - straight Epcot and MK, left - Studios and AK.

to get to the back entrance of the MK turn right here then left when the road ends. but only do this if you have a PS reservations at WL, Polyn, Cont or GF - otherwise the other route is faster. Disney has tighten up on letting off siters park in their parking lot. You will only get a 3 hour (if that long) parking permit. this way is much longer to get to the MK parking lot.
