CVS ECB Deals - Sales for Week 6/29/08-7/5/08

I'm doing my very first shopping trip today. I signed up online for my ecb that I already obtained at the store, and they sent me a $4 off of $20. So I'm ahead already. I'm going to do the Coppertone, Pepsi, maybe the mascara, maybe the diabetic meter since I have 2 diabetics in the house...I'll look for the toothbrushes, but they probably won't have them. So I'm figuring I'll spend around 45 dollars, 4 dollars off of that, and get back about 32.00 in ECB. Hmmm...pretty good if my estimates are right. I do have a question. If I get a raincheck for ecb items, I'm assuming the ecb won't print, right? You just get the sale price. Are there any printable coupons out there for any of this weeks deals? Unfortunately, our news paper doesn't give us coupons....THE HORROR!!!

It depends on your store policy with the rain checks. My store in TN will give you a RC for the sale price but will not include the ECBs. One of my stores in MD will give me a rain check that includes ECBs. For example the monitor is $9.99 and get $9.99 back in ECB. They will write the ECB out to get the monitor free when they have thm back in stock. No many store will do this for you though.

please help me with this stupid question........Im new to cupon clipping to help with cvs-ing and I have the sunday paper in front of me so...where are the coupons...? are the in the actual paper? or in all the flyer junk mail that comes with the sun paper? thanx

The coupons will be "hidden" in all the flyer junk inserts. This week there should be 2 inserts of coupons. One will say Smart Source and the other will say Valasis or Red Plum.

Some newspapers, as my local paper, do not give coupon inserts. I buy a newspaper from Knoxville, a larger city to get the coupons.

I bought 2 coppertone baby face sticks at 4.99 ea used 2 1.00 off coupons and earned 10 ECB .

I also used 3 b1g1 lifesaver coupons with no problems and got 6 bags free .

I did the Coppertone deal by getting the Face Sticks, so thanks to twoeeyy for the tip! I got the last 2. I also got the free mascara and the B1G1 Softsoap body wash (using 2 $1 coupons and the CVS $/$20 coupon). I made $18 in ECB for the day and came out $2 ahead.

Yesterday I bought 2 Bounty, a Charmin and a Duracell. The $10 didn't print out for me and the manager there just gave me the $10 cash as well. Works for me

Clarify the razor deal for me, please. I read it to say that you had to buy the razor AND the cartridges. Is this correct?

I only do razors and toothpaste if they're free (or they pay me)!

This is what I read... people who bought both got the ECB, people who bought 2 razors didn't get an ECB, but people who bought 2 cartridges did.

I bought both and got my ECBs. There's no profit unless you have a $/$$ coupon, the best deal would be 98 cents when using two $4 coupons from the 6-22-08 Smart Source.

Apparently this is going to be a July monthly deal and it was meant for a pre-packaged set with a razor and cartridges for $13.98. Buying separately is better since you can use 2 mfg. coupons.

EDIT: Now people are posting on other sites that 2 razors also produces the $5 ECB.

I bought the Accu Chek glucose monitor today because it is the one DH likes to use. It was not a money maker but helped turn a $20 ECB into a $9.99 and a few smaller ones.

When I opened the box to check out the $65 savings there is a mail in rebate for up to $40. They will send you the $9.99 back hopefully. I am gone to buy one on my other card.

I guess this will be a crummy week at CVS for me.

First, neither of the papers I bought, the same ones I always buy, had a CVS ad in them. No worries, I decided to stop in and get an ad on my home. No sooner did I get out of my car and it started pouring! I was soaked!!

Okay, at home now and trying to match up my coupons to the ad ... I don't have any coupons for the sale or ECB stuff.

I'm actually feeling a little down now. Crazy huh?

today i was at cvs - i was purchasing the water, mascara and a newspaper - i was going to pay w/ecb's and about 1.00 oop BUT they would not let me use my ecb's to pay for the newspaper???? the cashier said this was the managers new rules - i said forget the paper then. Went to another CVS and did a similar deal w/another card - think i can complain w/cvs corporate or can Managers actually make this decision????

I'm a little annoyed with my coupon inserts too. For some reason I'm not getting the really good coupons. Like the B1G1 free lifesavers coupon or the $4 off bic soleil plus another coupon that I can't remember what it was right now. Instead of these really good coupons, I get coupons that are store specific...like this week I got coupons for Weis' Markets. Well, that would be great if it was a store I actually shopped in or it was a product I would actually buy. Oh well. And I really wanted to do the bic soleil deal.

Okay, critique my first shopping trip, everyone.
Went in today armed with a 4 off of 20, a free chapstick coupon and 2 of the smart rinse coupons. I was ready. What I got:

4 Pepsi -12.00 (3 ecb)
mascara-7.99 (7.99 ecb)
2 Coppertone-9.99 each (10 ecb) ( I needed this as I work on the beach everyday)
2 Oral-B's...!!!! I was so excited to find them...(6.99 each, 13.98 ecb)
Accu-check-9.99 (9.99ecb)
2 smartrinse...3.49 -1.00 coupon (7.98 ecb)
chapstick...1.79, -1.79 coupon...free!

So, total for everything...68.74 with 52.94 in ecb!!

I may not have done it the way others have...but I wanted to have a good headstart. I think I did pretty good for my first time.
