CuttleBug/Cricut-Michaels part 2

Hi, this is part of my last thread, wondering if Cricut company makes Cuttle Bug and that I couldn't ue my 50% coupon for a Cuttle Bug. Everyone has told me yes you could of used it but now I just got a e-mail from Cricut and while going through thier web page I find that they make the Cuttle Bug, so I am stil confused.

Provo Craft does make the cuttlebug, but, it is not a cricut product so you can use the coupon on it. I've done it before--for the machine and for embossing cards.

Let me use a different example:

On the coupon, see where it says "no Slice products." Making Memories makes the Slice. Making Memories also makes paper, eyelets, brads, chipboard, paper trimmers etc. Just because it says no Slice doesn't mean you can't use the coupon on the other things that MM makes.

ProvoCraft is the company that makes both the Cuttlebug and the Cricut. But a Cuttlebug is no more of a Cricut product, than the Making Memories paper trimmer (or brad, or eyelet) is a Slice.

I just bought a cuttlebug with Ms 50% coupon on Sunday. The cashier said I couldn't use it but I told her it was a provo craft product not a cricut product and she rang it thru and it took. She did not have to override or anything.

I paid 39.99 price on shelf was 79.99

Part of the problem maybe that on the cuttlebug box it says "brought to you by the makers of Cricut" so cashier sees cricut and automatically thinks same product line.

You will probably have to talk to a manager, but the coupon is valid. As others have said, cuttlebug is Provo Craft not Cricut.

I used the 50% off on my cuttlebug with no issues at all... I was ready for a diplomatic battle if the need arose....but they had no issue using it....

I also bought my Cuttlebug with a coupon but at JoAnn's. As others have said ... it's not a Cricut product.
