My senior parents to not need much in the way of things. They do however enjoy going out with their friends
I wanted to give them a bunch of restaurant gift cards.
I am trying to think of a cute way to do it?
I know some people hang them on a miniature tree -but I don't think they want to have to deal with the tree later.
Any thoughts?

How about a flower arrangement? If you have somewhere that you could get an inexpensive bouquet and extra plastic card holders/picks, you could make your own arrangement with the gift cards tucked in among the flowers. When the flowers are done, they can just be thrown out - nothing left but the gift cards.

Ooooh, I think I know what I'm giving our parents this year. :thumbsup2

I love the exploding box! I don't think I'm quite that crafty, though. :rotfl:

One year I gave my MIL a bunch of gift cards with a little Coach wristlet and put the cards inside.

I like both of these ideas! Thanks!
I have never seen a box like that!

I just won a raffle prize that was a bunch of lottery tickets tied on to a real branch. When I pulled off all the tickets, I just tossed the branch outside.

Here's a link to someone's blog - go down to the entry from October 25th and see how she made gift card holders out of toilet paper holders! You could get as creative as you want with them! (Oh, and you can check out the Disney shadowbox before that..)

I used a photo holder once to give gift cards. I'm referring to the kind that has stand with lots of "spokes" where you can put photos. It made a cute presentation. I got mine at Kohl's.

I would do a little box in a big box treatment-- Get small boxes for each of the cards to go in and wrap them. Then put them in a larger box and wrap that. Then put that in a larger box and wrap it-- keep going until you have it as big as you want. You can put all the cards in one large box, or do this to several boxes.

But I also LOVE the flower bouquet idea!:thumbsup2

Chinese take-out boxes. We did it a few years ago. Our local take-out place let us buy a bunch of boxes for dirt cheap, then we taped the cards inside and stuffed tinsel on top of them like colorful Christmas noodles. Fun. :)
