I was wondering how Sam & Molly (our 5 month old kittens) would react to DH being injured.
The kitties have been amazing!! Both of us are astounded at how well they've adjusted. The police and the ambulance and all the excitement scared them that day, but since then, they're wonderful! Sam realized that Robert was hurt and decided right away that he had to protect Daddy. He hardly leaves his side, sleeps with him all night and most of the day. It took Molly a couple of days to come around, but now she sleeps with him too. I do think we should have called Molly "Lassie", she fetches me when Robert needs me. The other night Robert was moaning from pain in his sleep and Molly ran and jumped on my chest, patted on my face until I woke up, then ran back in Robert's room and meowed until I came to see. I could hardly believe it, even though I was seeing it.
Gotta love those furbabies!

That is soooo cute! It's amazing how well animals pick up on their owner's emotions/feelings!

It is amazing, but it is so true. When either John or I are sick the babies are so well behaved and right next to us or on our chest in the bed.....like "are you okay mommy or daddy?" Gotta love em!!!

The last time I was sick in bed, Fergie parked herself by my pillow and wouldn't move. It's nice to have a guard cat!

Awww that is so sweet :) It truly is amazing what our furbabies will sense and do for us when something is wrong or someone is sick :)
