Customs in Toronto?

We are going on a cruise out of Miami and are flying from Winnipeg to Toronto to Washington to Miami. We have 1hr and 26 min layover in TO. Is this long enough for customs? We had a nightmare when we flew Westjet to Disneyworld where customs held us up and I had my first anxiety attack!!!! Any opinions?

A lot of that depends on if you have to change terminals. Also when you get to the Toronto see if you can get some help from the airline they may be able to help speed up the process a little bit.

we flew Winnipeg/Toronto/Orlando last year with the same time limit. I had the same worries as you. Your luggage goes to the "American side" where you pick it up and go through customs and security. We ended up having enough time to grab a quick breakfast to go.

Thanks for the replies. We decided to leave a day earlier and forgo the stress of possibly missing connections, as a cruise ship waits for no one!!! Doing the usual Winnipeg / Minneapolis thing. Again, thanks for your replies.

Good choice. I've heard that's the safest thing to do for a cruise, arrive the day before. You never know what can happen!
