Does any one know if they sell at WDW 1st birthday shirts? Or if in the parks or resorts they have a place you can get shirts made - My DD#2 will be turning 1 on the trip and I thought it would be cute to get her a shirt on the trip rather than bringing something from home. Also DD#1 will turn 3 the month after we return and I thought maybe she might like to pick out a custom shirt and put a three on it while we were there to make it more special.

Check out the DISign boards - under the communitiy section off the main page.

Plenty of talented Disney designer's who will make you a customized image, that you can print to iron on trnasfer paper, and make yourself your own shirt.

A lot cheaper then buying a shirt there.... because the design - is FREE. Your local WalMart probably has blank shirts to iron on to for $3.99.

There is also a store in DTD that lets you design your own T-Shirt. I don't remember the name of it right now but I'm sure some one will post it.

Hanes t-shirt store in DTD lets you make custom shirts.

We have purchased some nice unique custom shirts from etsy and ebay to take with us.

Thank you! I will try that! I was only thinking of getting while on the trip but I doubt we will make it to DTD so that might not work.

Go to etsy.com and search disney shirts - there are some really adorable things!

Ignore that....lol....little guy clicked on a thread an di didnt know it!!!!

I would buy the special shirt before leaving, and if you want to do a second "special shirt" while at WDW then great! I had some sort of special shirt for each day we were there. I started buying up Disney themed shirts a few months beforehand, anytime they were on a good sale. Then I made one set of special shirts for the actual birthday shirt. I created a design on the computer using clip art (or you can use the DIS ideas) and I sent it by e-mail to a shirt store near us. They put it on an iron-on and made the shirts for me. I wasn't comfortable doing the iron on myself thought maybe the big press at the store would do it better. Anyway, the shirts were a huge hit! And we had them for the first day - without having to shop there!
I thought it was hysterical/wonderful that at WDW so many family groups go around wearing matching t-shirts! It's considered "normal" there! I'd never get my kids to do that at home - but at WDW it was even cool!
