Curvy girls, where do you buy jeans?

ugh, I was all ready to go to Fashion Bug today for a pair of Right Fit jeans after reading this thread. Look at the reviews (blue cut), looks like they changed them. A ton of terrible reviews in the last few months that they are different, cheaper material, etc.... :sad2:

I have the same problem with the gap in the back of the waist. To get jeans to fit my butt/legs, they're so big in the waist that I have to pin them. I USED to love Lane Bryant jeans, but now they're so stretchy that by the end of the day, my jeans are hanging around my knees.

I like the Hope bootcut from Tommy Hillfiger. Macy's used to have them, but I just found them really cheap at TJ Maxx. I also like the Denim & Co jeans from QVC. They were on one day and cheap, so I tried them. When they came, they were so great that I went back and bought every color. :rotfl: It's the Denim & Co Modern Waist Stretch Trouser Jeans.

These sound great. Do they come in ....ummmm..."larger" sizes? Tx.

The problem I have with most curvy jeans is they go up super high and make me look like I'm wearing frumpy mom jeans. And I'm 21. So no.

But there are non-frumpy jeans out there too!

MAURICES. http://www.maurices.com

A link to just denim if you don't have a local store:

I literally drive 2 hours once a year to the store in Gettysburg, as it is the closest I can find, just to buy jeans. They are that good and fit that well.

I wear a 14 with a big butt and thighs, narrow waist. There are three or four different cuts I can wear there, a variety of sizes. And to reiterate: THEY HAVE ENOUGH ROOM FOR YOUR THIGHS AND DON'T ASSUME THEY ARE THE SAME SIZE AS YOUR CALVES (zomg I hate that)

The house brand is what you want, and they tend to be $30-35 or so. I like the Taylor and Kaylee cuts best, but those sit about an inch below my navel. They have higher cuts.

Every year when I'm in there I see people going "Oh my gosh these actually FIT me!" It's crazy how many people look awesome in them.

These jeans interest me... can you tell me if the denim is thick or stretchy and thin ? I have a very small waist and big hips and i need the heavier denim that tucks my hips in :rotfl:

Me too. I just ordered a pair of these and a pair from Lane Bryant. I really would love to find jeans that do not show stuff in the back:scared1:

Just an FYI for curvy girls, Maurices has TONS of REALLY cute and modern clothes in plus sizes and VERY reasonably priced (at the outlets at least...)

I just checked Maurices web site and OMG are there a ton of jeans and very cute tops in plus sizes....Thank You!!!! They have mobile coupons too.

I also like Levis 505 Bootcut in Womens Plus, they keep their shape all day and don't get baggy...keep in mind Levis tend to run small.

I also look at Marshalls every week and have found some cute Lee and Levis for 12.99-16.99 a pair. It's hit or miss.

I am going to check out JC Penney for jeans too since I can stack the 15% off survey coupon with the $10 off $50 coupon.

Lane Bryant is having a sale now. I just ordered some of their jeans. I am tall so hopefully they fit.

I'm tall too (6 foot and my height is in my legs). If I order talls for dress slacks or jeans I have to wear heels with them or hem them.

I'm not plus...but I'm curvy. My waist is smaller than my hips/bottom. I swear by Calvin Klein. I also buy them at Macy's. I like CK skinny... but I do know they sell CK in plus, too.

I bought 2 pairs at Talbots recently. I wore one of them today (dark wash pair- straight leg) and got tons of compliments -and I don't get compliments often. I'll be buying more of them! I bought them in black and love those.

The denim on the house brand jeans (the ones that say Maurices on the inside label) is really heavy. I'm still trying to soften up this year's pairs. Some are softer than others, but none are flimsy.

You'll notice they sell other brands too like Hydraulics and Silvers. For me, the Silver jeans ride indecently low. I have some luck with a few pair of Hydraulics but they are hit and miss and tend to be the stretchier denim.

Glad to bring more curvy girls to the fold. :dance3:
