Hi Everyone:
I joined Curves the 15th of this month and I love the workout. However, I was wondering if anyone had a problem with mid back pain. I think I may have overdone on one of the upper body machines, meaning worked it too hard. I have always walked and years ago took aerobics, but have never used machines before Curves. I feel great other than that and I will definitely continue with Curves. I'm taking a few days off because I don't want to further strain anything and make it worse. I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else. I also wondered if maybe I should be doing a warmup at home before going to loosen the muscles. My Curves has us do a cool down, but no warmup and I'm wondering if this might be my problem. Any suggestions? I'm going back either tonight or tomorrow night. Thanks in advance.

I am sorry to hear that your back in sore. I hope it gets better.
I am wondering if maybe you aren't doing the machine correctly. I would maybe double check with the people there to make sure you are doing the machine correctly. Do you know which one is causing your mid back pain? I would probably skip that machine for awhile so you don't hurt your back anymore.

I think a lot of people find one machine that they either have trouble doing or aggravates a body part. My knees object to the squat machine! So I skip it once in a while.

I'm not sure which machine, but I'm going tonight and I'm going to try to pay attention to if I feel a strain on one of them. I think you are probably right Cthia that I am doing one of them wrong so I'm hoping tonight I can figure it out and if it's not too crowded, I will ask. Also, I think I may try to warm up at home before I go and see if that makes a difference. I am wondering if that may have been part of the problem. Thanks for the replies and I'll let you know how I make out.
