YES!! I started the plan in September 05 and have lost 35 lbs. so far. I must say that I was a big time couch potato who loves food, especially carbs, and have been carrying and adding to "baby" weight for the last 11 years after having 3 kids.
I was hesitant when I started but I do not have the will power to go on a diet or anything on my own so this worked out perfect. I joined the club after two weeks when I didn't loose any weight the second week so, working out in some way is an absolute must for any program. They do promote the shakes and vitamins a bit but I received a free bottle of each when I joined and there is no pressure at my club to purchase any more. I have learned in the last few months to "tweek" their suggested foods to what I like as long as I stay within the guidelines, it can be pretty forgiving b/c I tend to be a fairly picky eater.
The first few weeks were not the most pleasant and enjoyable but when I think about the horrible habits I was giving up, it made sense and I did begin to feel much better after the first two-three weeks.
Sorry if this is too much of a ramble but I am doing the plan (I just started over again two weeks ago) and it has been working! They design it so that you don't have to diet forever, just a few days every couple of weeks or so (different for everyone) after going off of the plan once you hit your goal.
