In my scrapbook trip report I wanted to say this was all my idea, but it wasn’t. This trip however definitely is! But whether or not that is a good thing or not time will only tell.. It was decided 7 days 6 nights in our favorite place in the world, but where should we stay? Onsite of course…but where?
Jack: “The Caribbean, Love.”
Ah ha! Of course the Caribbean Beach Resort! Thank Ye, Jack. Before this gets too confusing I should introduce the crew…

Alyss- Pin Pirates Pin Pirates- any guesses about me being a pirate lovin’ pin collecting loon would be right on.pirate: I give you three guesses what my largest pin collection is of…yep…you got it.. Pirate Pins. See…look into my collection…

Jack: I like this one…because it’s of me… and this one …me too… oh and this one…it’s me and all shiny! I’m starting to think you have good taste, Love.”:rotfl: Okay more about me! I’m 24 and in love with all things Disney. I’m a fan of Alice in Wonderland & Beauty and the Beast. Also in love with Captain Jack Sparrow. My goal for this trip is to get as many Jack pictures and I can and fill up his scrapbook. Other goals are to expand my pirate pin collection, eat a Zebra dome, buy some pirates booty, and go down Splash Mountain with both hands in the air making the greatest face possible. I should also take a moment to explain that I’m a ham and love to make faces at the camera. In the photo up above I’m modeling for AnythingBloom’s photography class but the picture below is much more like me!

Jack8.jpg

Jack- This is the world famous Jack Sparrow.
Jack: That’s Captain Jack Sparrow.”
Yes, excuse me….Captain Jack Sparrow. He’s very excited to be going to WDW and seeing merchandise with his picture on it. His current favorite thing to say is “love me, love me, love me” (Could be just me but I think his head’s getting a lil’ big from all the attention.;) ) He enjoys Rum, wrenches, pickles & eggs, the salty sea air and of course more Rum. As to his size… he gave me some BS story about his latest adventure on Cannibal Island, being captured by a witch doctor and the head shrinking experiment that went horribly wrong. He says to ignore his current predicament as he’s sure to grow with time. I’ve tried to explain to him that this is not quite how this works and in reponse was answered with “My Peanut.” I’ve given up….:confused3

Next up,
anythingbloomport.jpg

AnythingBloom- 24 year old Resident Artist and our trip’s official photographer being that what she’s majoring in College. She excited to be going on this trip armed with a Digital Canon Rebel TXI (which is her pride and joy. Might as well be her child as much as she dotes on the thing.) Also a little tiny Canon Powershot A95 which she plans to shoot mini movies on. This is also the camera we will be allowed to touch unlike the Rebel which we would have to pry from her cold dead hands.:scared1: AnythingBloom’s goals for the trip, 1st satisfy my outrageous request of 1300 pictures in seven days. She says this is an insane request…but hey she can do it! Other goals.. scour the park for anything bloom, Will Turner that is.. a fan….no….obessed…nah….completely out of her mind….most likely. Not loose or drop the next crew member is her last goal.

Orli.jpg

Orli- Orli was very adamant about not using his real name (you know those internet predators and such) so AnythingBloom decided we should call him Orli.
Orli: *raises an eyebrow* “Why Orli?”
AnythingBloom: “It’s short for Orlando.”
Orli: “Like the city we are going to?”
AnythingBloom: “No like Orlando Bloom, you know Will Turner.”
Orli: :rolleyes1
Orli is a 15 year old Woodelf, this is his third trip to Disneyworld. His favorite park is Epcot and he is looking forward to going back.

portraitzelda01portraitmana01.jpg

Buzzadit- 25 year old Legend of Zelda/Nintendo freak. She loves Tinkerbell & Peter Pan and she is also a major Harry Potter fan. She’s got tons of HP stuff, books, binders, action figures, shirts, you name it she’s bought it. Her goal for the trip is to survive the scary rides (she’s a baby when it comes to the rides.) She is looking forward to the Dinosaur ride and her number 1 goal is to close her eyes as tight as she can on Everest so she doesn’t have to see the Yeti. :woohoo: Buzzadit is also excited about the water parks because she has never been to one before.

Danportrait.jpg

Dan- 15 year old ½ elf.
Dan: “Why Dan?”

AnythingBloom: “It’s short for Daniel.”
Dan: “Why Daniel, it’s not anything like my real name.”
AnythingBloom: “Well since you are in Buzzadit’s care and she’s such a Harry Potter fan I thought we should name you after Daniel Radcliffe the actor who plays him.”
*Dan and Orli exchange a look*
Dan: “Whatever”
And if you haven’t figured it out yet Dan has a bit of an attitude problem. Yep…just glared at me. Dan loves Splash Mountain, the Dino ride, and POTC ride.
Jack: “Yes, everyone loves me… Love me, love me, love me.”
Dan: I don’t like the ride because of you…in fact I don’t like you at all!”

Jack: *looks at Dan in shock*

Heh Heh…so that’s our happy lil’ crew! More on about our trip in the next installment of Curse of the Mini Pirate- A pretrip report! :dance3:

I found the Disboards before we booked our trip and devoured as much information as my brain could handle. Normally I don’t have much of a memory but for some reason I’ve got a whole other brain for Disney Info. Like most people have a second stomach for Desert, I’ve got a second brain for Disney. Anyhoo! After Jack picked where we were staying we began to book/plan our trip. 7 days 6 nights Caribbean Beach Resort. We’ve stayed at this resort before and loved it…<See Scrapbook Trip Report>:fish:

Like all obsessive trip planners we began by finding the perfect flights… Alaska Airlines- Anchorage to Seattle change flights then Seattle straight to Disneyworld (I mean Orlando.) Not too much travel time…perfect flight leaves late at night on the 13th and we will arrive at the resort courtesy Magical Express by 9 am on the 14th.

Note: :car: I’d like to mention here that I’ve ready a few trip reports where people are upset that it takes them 6 hours in traffic to drive to Orlando… I did some research on this and according to map quest it would take an estimated time of 80 hours and 14 minutes to reach Orlando by car, covering a distance of 4,810 miles. Isn’t that crazy! I officially envy all people who can drive to Orlando within a 10 hour period. :drive:

We had a small glitch while booking our rooms and flight tickets. The flights we booked no problems but when we started to add our selected tickets (Magic your Way plus Dining) all hell broke loose and Disney Online wouldn’t allow us to purchase our tickets/rooms. Of course we were booking after hours and the Guest Services phones were not being answered. :headache: After much screaming, some crying, several words I should not be using on the Disboards, and threatening the computer’s life (it now lives in fear of me) some pixie dust finally floated our way and our rooms were booked! pixiedust:

Before booking our trip I spent countless hours gathering information on why the dining plan was a great solution for us. Every trip we have gone on before we have spent tons of money on food! I had read about the dinning plan on the boards and thought it would be fantastic. :scratchin Now all I had to do was convince the crew… Jack was easy (he doesn’t eat much anyway) Orli and Buzzadit convinced at once…but AnythingBloom and Dan are a bit…more difficult to convince. After view the menus for the table service restaurants Dan was convinced all that was left was AnythingBloom. So the paperwork began. First I printed off all the table service menus, then our food budget, then a comparison of how much more food we would be getting, a comparison of how much money we could be spending vs. saving…needless to say the numbers crunched and AnythingBloom was convinced. :woohoo:

(Yes, she’s a bit tight fisted with money and seriously a analyzer personality type but it has saved us money in the past event though it has been a headache for me being the jump head first no plans fly by the seat of our pants type of person. :rotfl: I’m one of THEM! Hee Hee)

Now we had to pick out our ADR’s. I should take a moment to explain that in all 3 trips to the world we taken before we have never once eaten at a table service restaurant. We walked up to the Coral Reef restaurant once, saw the prices on the menu then AnythingBloom’s eyeball nearly exploded. :scared1: We decided it wouldn’t be safe to eat there. So here we are ready to take on the world and we have NO idea where to eat. Disboards came to save my day! I’d read on the Disboards about the heaven that is Zebra Domes. Then after looking at the menu for Boma and eyeing the words Spitfire roasted meats I had my first pick. It kinda scares my friends but they love me :p and we are going to eat there anyways!

So after much pouring over the menus, some drooling, and some research this was our finalized ADR plan.

8/14 - Tuesday- Sci-Fi Restaurant at MGM Studios – 6:10pm
8/15 - Wednesday - Coral Reef Restaurant at Epcot – 4:30pm
8/16 - Thursday - Hollywood & Vine at MGM Studios - 4:40pm
8/17 - Friday - San Angel Restaurant at Epcot - 7:30pm
8/18 - Saturday - Planet Hollywood at Downtown Disney - 4:00pm
8/19 - Sunday - Boma’s at Animal Kingdom Lodge - 5:00pm
