Hi! Currently cruising on the Fantasy, and I’m happy to answer any questions you might have.

What was the schedule as far as Halloween/pirate/formal?

Are there any charactermeets in the terminal?

How often were the Sanderson sisters out and how hard was it to get to meet them?

Sailing on the newt Western so thank you so much!

Formal was night 2, Pirate is night 4, and Halloween is night 6.

We stayed at the airport Hyatt and took DCL transportation to the port, so we werent in the terminal very long (boarding group 3). I didn’t see any characters while we were there, but we were able get on the ship very early.

There are several meets with the Sanderson Sisters throughout the cruise. We went to very first one yesterday at 3:30 on the Cozumel day. People started lining up really early - we lined about 20 minutes early, and there were probably 15 groups ahead of us. Once the sisters came out, the line went fast - we only waited about 15 minutes once they started meeting people. No autographs allowed, but they give autograph cards to everyone after your photos. Jack and Sally have several meets scheduled on Halloween day too.

thank you! I don't have any excursions (we even don't get off most likely) so that works out well I guess!

Good Morning,

A few questions,

What day is Halloween?
What day is formal night?
And , is the ship crowded? Does it appear parities are being seated together, or separate tables?

Halloween is day 6. Formal night is day 2.

I think the shop seems normal crowded - we were also on the Fantasy in May and this cruise feels about the same. We don’t really do deck parties or line up for many photos so I don’t know how they feel. The lobby was packed for the Pumpkin Tree show on the first night, but I only know because we walked by.

Parties are being seated together — I’m here with my 9 year old daughter and we were supposed to be seated with another parent/child group of 2. I asked for a private table then, and they moved the other group somewhere else. In May, it looked like every group had their own table so I didn’t think to request a private table ahead of time.

Thank you.

We were also on the fantasy back in May 4/30-5/7 we go next week when you get off. So I’m guessing it will be similar for crowds.

We did request a private table so hopefully that will be granted. But it’s a party of 4 this so I’m sure we will be fine.

Do you mind sharing the show schedule? And what movies are playing in the theater?

Are the MDR menus the same ones that were in May?

Shows were a singing group, Aladdin, Frozen, Hocus Pocus 2, Charles Peachock, Hocus Pocus 2 (again), and Believe.

Off the top of my head movies include Rescue Rangers, Encanto, Lightyear, the latest Thor and Dr Strange movies, and the Pinocchio with Tom Hanks. Plus both Hocus Pocus movies.

Menus are definitely the same - I feel like the menus only get changed if a dining room get a remodel.

Thank you. Enjoy the rest of your cruise!

Thank you for doing this! Once you’ve had Halloween day I’d love to hear what activities they had. I’m especially interested if they have scary stories on Funnel Vision in the evening.

Also curious if they do the pirate night buffet after fireworks.

Thanks again!

We were on the Fantasy 9/24-10/1 and had trick or treating around the pool deck and through Cabanas in the evening. There were 6 or 7 treat stations and the cast told us we could go around as many times as we wanted. After that, there was a Halloween dance party on the pool deck with the characters dressed in their costumes. It was very cute.

There was a pirate night buffet after the fireworks on our cruise. We didn't go in to see what they had as we were still full from dinner.

Is the 'Sea you real soon' event back on the last night? On the Magic 'Til we meet again returned in August' but I haven't heard anything about the Fantasy so far...

@Chipmunkmaniac I just noticed the last line of your earlier message that you are sailing on the next Western as am I. Hence we have many of the same questions :-) Can’t believe we are almost there.

I'm a little 'nervous' though, I'm not a fan of the big ships and I just had a fabulou Summer on the Magic with the 9n Greek isles, 11n Iceland an then b2b british isles and TA (19n total).... but this was the only 7n Halloween cruise that included my bday...

That sounds like a fun summer! Exciting you get to cruise for your birthday, Happy Birthday!

I prefer the smaller ships too but to be fair 3 nights on the Dream isn’t really long enough to decide anything about the bigger ships. This will be my first time on the Fantasy and so maybe longer on a big ship will change my mind.

Just got off this morning, and I don’t think there were any goodbye events last night. We’re early to bed, early to rise people so we don’t really do any activities after 9 or so.
