Current year pts when adding on thru Disney?

I know to ask my DVC rep for the official answer on this, but the DIS can be quicker for unofficial answers.

How far into a UY does Disney usually offer current year points for add-ons? I have an Oct UY, so if I add on through Disney how deep into this 2009 UY will they throw in 2009 points? I've heard/read when you're buying new they've thrown in current year points pretty late in the year (maybe even past the normal banking window).

I believe they will do it right up until the beginning of the next UY. So if you have an October UY you should be able to get 2009 points on an add-on anytime before the 2010 UY starts. They should also allow you to bank them immediately, even if you are past your UY.

We have a March UY and I just spoke to our guide last week about an add-on and we would get 2009 points that would be banked immediately, even though we are 10 months into our 2009 UY.

Some have reported adding on in the month before, and still getting current UY points.

DVC has also allowed those owners to still bank the new points, even though they are outside the banking window.

We were considering an add on tihs month but have to hold off due to college info for my DD. If things go better than planned, I may be in for an add on in the Spring. We have a June UY so if it works out, I will be doing it in April and hope that I still get the 2009 points. If I don't, I will wait and add on in January 2011 as those points won't be needed until a 2012 trip and therefore, no sense of paying 2010 MF's on them from now.
