Could someone post pics of the current refillable mug designs? Wondering if my party of 4 can each have a unique mug...Also, are there Coke or Pepsi products at the fountains? I guess my real question is do they have Sprite? DD tries not to drink Coke as it messes with her reflux, but she doesn't care for Sierra Mist. We'll have a car so we can bring our own; just wondering if the mug is worth it. Would still be a good souvenir anyway.

Can't help you because we won't be there until April, but we have been debating about getting the mugs. We'll have a car and first day we'll hit Costco and fill up on drinks and coffee supplies, but I know we'll want a souvenir mug so why not get the refillable mug. That way if we're down by the pool and want something to drink we don't have to go back to the room.

IMG_0748.JPG When I went last January, there were either blue or green Character design or blue or maroon Aulani design mugs. If they still have these then you'd be able to have 4 somewhat different mugs.

Also, do these limit you to a few minutes between fills like at the resort? Would be nice to be able to fill our sport bottles with Powerade all at once.

Unless something has changed since last year, the cups and machines at Aulani do not have the chip technology like they do at WDW. We leave to go back in a few days, so it would be nice to know if that is different.

That is true. We were just there. 4 types of mugs (blue or green lid with characters, navy or maroon Hawaiian design). No chip technology.

Back during the end of December, Ulu Cafe had the four mugs mentioned above, as well as the Moana sipper. The sipper is plastic, but looks like it's made from bamboo, and has Moana tiki carvings on it. A CM would tell people the sipper straw is not designed for hot drinks, so show your refillable sipper to a CM and they'd give you a separate cup for that.
